I just finished watching The Romanoffs, and really liked it! Each episode is its own stand alone little movie. Some are better than others, but overall this series is superbly written, and so original. Thumbs up. 
And now I've just started watching the new mini-series, The Little Drummer Girl. I'm completely hooked!! So well done, instantly immersive, fun, and vastly superior to the muddled mess of the movie version Diane Keaton did in the 80's. If you enjoyed The Night Manager, you will REALLY like this one.

I finally saw The Favourite yesterday. And noooo, Omni, it is not about an amazing woman of the past. It's about a sickly, incompetent, and sort of tragically pathetic queen and the dark, twisted games her two 'favorites' play to gain her affections and thereby power from. It's good! Dark and sharp.
(And I'd put my oscar betting money on Olivia Colman because she deserves it for this, but I'm sure Lady Gaga will win.)ps - for Eleanor of Aquitaine, Katherine Hepburn in Lion in Winter still can't be beat.

Finished watching Atypical (series about the small world around a teenager who's diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder) It's a bit in the middle of a comedy and drama as it has hilarious scenes as well as more sad ones.
