Is there a way to adjust how far you can see on PC? Or even a command you can type in to help extend view distance. I feel like sometimes on mobile you have to run right up on something in order to see it (Specifically certain mobs in blight). I am curious if a higher graphics setting increases view distance or if it is a set value? If there is not a way to set it, could this be something added like a slider to mobile graphic settings? Would be super helpful.

Thanks !

On PC there is a setting specifically to adjust visible distance, where mobile is along that slider I am unsure.
I noticed this when some friends and I were doing a Gnomish Adventures event and trying to find the location based on the given image. In the particular case when I realized the VAST differences in the visuals, for reference I had maximum graphic settings on iOS and unsure of the pc player but when we were standing in the same spot, I could not see a light post thing that they could see since it was too far and even when we were closer they did not look at all the same due to the lighting settings as well which on iOS could not change to match what PC could.

Some may think this gives no advantages anyways so it is not that big of a deal but it does give advantages.
In particular time combat events are the biggest advantages you can get from this scenario. If you are a warrior with frenzied strike or charge, or a shaman with galeforce, these feats can be used to dash at an enemy. For PC players who can see further than mobile players, they can target enemies much earlier to use these dash attacks to get to the enemy much sooner than a mobile player can. And if the player just wants to just use the dash to get large amount of movements, they can use the dash, then cancel the dash attack portion and just use the movement speed buff freely which gives them a much greater advantage over classes/players who can’t use those movement buffs ( and how galeforce is much slower and covers less distance than warrior dashes). In raids like cloisters this movement can create large differences in performance.
Another visual difference is how enemies appear in rooms, it appears that PC can select these enemies much easier even through walls and without getting close to the door while on mobile are untargetable until seeing the enemy through the door.

It would be greatly appreciated to have the same settings as PC while on mobile and not have such disparities.

On PC the visible distance is definitely much further. On mobile I'm always annoyed, because I feel I don't see mobs until I'm almost standing on top of them. It makes evasive running much harder.
On PC, if you open the settings window, ok the first tab there is a button 'advanced settings' (something like that), and if you click it, a whole list of sliders drops down. Visible distance and mob visibility (they use another word) are most useful for this

This was why I was starting this. I can’t speak for everyone but I only have an iPad to play on, sooooo I’m always trying to squint to catch a glimmer of a pixel far off hah. Would love a mobile slider for view distance.

I have a 32" monitor on my Gaming PC. My tablet has a 10" screen.

Seeing further and clicking on distant objects is indeed easier with my PC mouse cursor than tapping on a screen with my fat fingers.

I can't help feeling that might be more to do with the fact that it is physically more than 9 times bigger than any actual graphics settings.

On the down side, lugging around a 32" monitor, pretty heavy PC cabinet, wires, portable generator, keyboard, stand etc is a heck of a lot more bother than picking up my tablet.

I dont think it would work for mobile because on these settings even my game crashes when I leave the pc on for too many days.

On these settings it allows you to see mobs super far. like, 1,5 map grid away (and further, if the relief in the ground doesnt obscure it from view). Like, the only reason other mobs are gone from sight is because hills and bushes are in the way. So yeah would be cool if mobile could get increased a bit too.

I thought there was a slider or option to turn foliage transparent on PC, but I can't find it. Is there?

That’s very cool. Hopefully they can add at least that one slider. I get the devices are different but I would happily turn down my graphic settings for some more view distance.

You would need both the creature clipping and the object clipping and the visible distance. Otherwise you still don't see a thing. Possibly another two or three sliders

I couldn’t count the number of mobile players I’ve had to help with display settings; otherwise, Tianma never appears.

I’m not going to get into the whole “why can PC put any feat in any slot, but mobil can’t?” … but it does keep coming up.
