With a snap of her wrist, the fairy launched the sleigh clumsily into the sky, narrowly missing the branch of a twisted bog tree. Petunia was tossed against the side of the sleigh and a tiny stuffed bear fell onto her head, then to her lap, from a mysterious sack behind her.

While everyone was busy running around no one noticed the little stray dog watching them silently hidden behind some dropped sacks.

"Ahhhh...Look who we have here....More weary travelers....", said the indefatigable dog as he adjusts his brandy-filled collar. "I must follow these dynamic duo or they may fall victim to shiverspine's crackling dead".

Up into the sky they flew as fast as the little dragon could flap his wings. “Over there!” Shouted the fairy as they saw the forever tree standing gloriously in the distance.

They flew and they flew and they flew towards the magnificent tree, a structure of foliage so brilliant even the desolate night sky couldn't enshroud its twinkling glow. As they approached, a gentle hum began to reach the riders' chilly ears.

As the humming voice continued to attract the curiosity of Petunia and the fairy, the baby reindeer dragons began to descend with a whirl around the mighty tree. After the sleigh landed with a loud clank, petunia and the fairy floated onto the ground to notice the gentle humming was turning into more of a playful, yet malicious sing song voice as a thick fog started to emerge from the mystical tree.

“Who dares to approach the Elder Tree without a designated appointment?” said the humming and rumbling voice.
And everyone shrieked in surprise!

All watched in horror as the elder tree shoot out of the earth and began to sing and dance.

Then everyone started to dance the salsa in tune with the elder tree. But the heroes forget that this was a diversion that the elder tree had planned with a line of ready-to-fire catapults was waiting in the misty darken woods.

The dark woods suddenly lit up as the catapults were loaded with bright rocks. Actually tiny bright pebbles as they were toy catapults!

Petunia croaked with glee after seeing the sleigh appear. She asked the fairy again what the magic label read, and heard a sheepish reply of “its odd, but it said to: the world”.

A shiver of excitement ran down her spine for she could tell that those words were very special. She gazed at the sleigh once again in great glee and hurried off to share her amazing discovery.

Then there was a flash of light and she knew it could only be one thing…….aliens? Or was it? No it definitely was, maybe, probably…..

… upon seeing the new friends Petunia had made and the special words she’s seen ( as well as imaging about aliens) it reminded her, in a warm and fluffy way, even though she’s cold blooded and wet, she had a love and curiosity to learn more about the mysterious ways how humans live, which is, being a villager, a hero and somehow most confusingly of all, in this odd and cold season, they like to light up all the trees in Ardent! It must mean something wonderful!

There was great gougers on the hill too!, it was Christmas after all.

Then all the sudden dark clouds rolled in, turning the sky darker then night! A FLASH! And a huge green being of evil, in his sleigh was in flight!

Luckily the strange green being flew away just as quickly as he had appeared, the dark cloud parted, and Petunia continued on her journey in perfect sunshine

To her bog frog delight, she could see so many humans gathered as the lights of Ardent City glistened and all sorts of interesting sounds filled the air. She even thought she heard a "screaming goat"!
