Howdy folks! Athon Dawnfire here and today I wanted to talk about one of the most interesting and deep mechanics of the game, which is Rebirth!
What is Rebirth?
Rebirth is a mechanic that is available 5 times for each character. After reaching level 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90. It resets all quests, Blight reputation, bounties, talents and your hero/combat level to 1. The level of Rebirth will always be the highest available one (one that haven't been used yet), so for example if you are level 85 and you haven’t rebirthed at level 75 yet it will count as a level 75 Rebirth. However if you rebirthed at level 75 before, and not at level 60 it will count as the level 60 Rebirth.

hy should I Rebirth?
Each Rebirth gives you +5 talent points to play with (+25 in total after 5 Rebirths), a unique cameo and icon flair with a set of new ones after each rebirth and a scaling XP boost (+75%-350%) until you reach your highest level ever. It also lets you get the first time kill bonuses on all bounties again and allows you to redo all quests. So basically it makes your character stronger and gives you a 2nd chance at making money off bounties and getting amazing quest rewards.
What do you keep after Rebirth?
Your gathering, crafting and gardening/ranching levels stay intact. All your gear and loot stay with you too. You only lose what I mentioned at the first section.
When to Rebirth?
There are multiple approaches to this, and I’m fairly certain there’ll be comments about even more, but here are a few basic ones that I saw and found worth mentioning. Also do note, that there is no best approach to rebirthing, each way has its own benefits.
1) Rebirth as soon as possible approach (30-45-60-75-90)
This is the most straight forward way to do it (and one of the seemingly quicker ones). You become more powerful for the challenges later on (as you will accumulate talent points as soon as possible) so this one offers the smoothest experience combat wise.
2) Rebirth when you hit the wall
This method is the least grindy of all. You are not rebirthing at the key levels like int he previous section but you keep on leveling up until you run out of first time bounty kills, and quests around your level. When you hit this wall and you’d need to start grinding bounties daily, you rebirth. What this means is that the 2nd time you redo all of the same content again you’ll be some levels higher and advanced farther in the game due to the XP boost. Obviously you can’t completely eliminate the daily grind, but this method offers the best way to reduce the amount of how much you repeat a single content day after day.
3) Rebirth at 30-45-75-60-90 (Pyrron skip Rebirth)
This style focuses on gaining some extra talent points early on to be well equipped for the Pyrron zones, and then grind through them. The good side of this one is that if you hate the Pyrron zones it is enough to quest through them only once, meaning you have to complete the main quest until you need to defeat lord Pyrrus himself, receive the Key to the North and unlock the telepad in Bevyn's Coile (otherwise you need to redo the quests again). With this approach the 2nd/3rd time you run through these zones it is enough to just run the bounties.
4) Rebirth at 90-30-45-60-75 (Reverse order)
The pros of this method is that you get over the whole grinding to 90 aspect first. You also experience the whole content the game has to offer and be able to make a decision if you want to become even more powerful through rebirths or not (though I very much recommend it, especially that you can do the level 30-45-60-75 rebirths all in a week or so). Combatwise this is the most challenging way to do it, but after 90 it offers the quickest ramp of power of any methods (also if you gain a few elder ranks at level 95 you will get a permanent XP boost making leveling up again even faster). Another pro of this method is take you can take the full advantage of unique rewards (see next section).
Extra: Blight Bay rebirth (90+)
This can be done for any of the above method. Instead of rebirthing at level 90, you keep going to earn medallions from quests (which will reset after rebirth). This is a good way to earn extra meds, but the downside is that you lose all reputation you've earned. Check sirbabbo's post for more details. Credits to sirbabbo
What to do before Rebirth?
Complete quests that offer good rewards (list below). Have a complete set of gear every 10 levels or so. I recommend crafting to obtain gear (like lvl 6 weapon, then level 16 weapon, level 7 belt, level 17 belt etc.), but obviously dropped gear and quest rewards work well too. Having gear ready after rebirth is a huge blessing, since you’ll have level appropriate gear which makes your life easier.

How to perform Rebirth?
You have to go to Gandymeade Grove after being eligible for a Rebirth. You need to unequip all your combat gear. You need to talk to the NPC at the Temple of Rebirth (B3 on map). He’ll ask you a few questions about Rebirth. After answering them correctly, he let’s you in to the temple, where you can perform the act of Rebirth.
XP Scaling of Rebirth

1-14: +75%
15-29: +100%
30-44: +150%
45-59: +200%

75-89: +300%

OK! (Taking a deep breath and getting ready to plunge into the unknown!) My two senior toons just made it to levels 32 and 31. I've crafted them each pretty darn good level 1 gear. Off to get reborn!

Nice guide, just got a question. What do you recommend doing after a rebirth?
1. Do quests and bounties.
2. Do only bounties.
3. Do the importent quests (with the main quest line (again)) and the bounties.
4. Do the importent quests (without the main quest line) and the bounties.
5. Something else.
Hope to hear from you.
Greetings,
Joey.

But the main quest line is like a realy long quest line, how do i know when i'm not in the middle of that one?2 - do only bounties because the xp bonus only applies to them, not to quests. Once the bonus is over go back and do the quests. It is important not to rebirth in the middle of a long quest line because you will have to start over again from the very beginning. Make sure before you do the 75 rb you get the Bevyn's Coille pad and do the quests involving the 75 elders. If you don't get that telepad you will have to redo the entire Pyrron quest line. Also, turn in any quests with nice rewards so you can redo them.

I'll assume you want to level up as quick as possible after rebirth, so my recommendation is to do the main quests (main storyline and elder quests), bounties, and whatever side quests that involve any elders/bounties since you'll slay them anyway. Main quests are a great source of XP, and some great loot. Bounties will eventually become the only way to level up (along with dungeon runs). I'd start doing normal side quests once I've run out of new bounties.
Regarding the Pyrrus main quest part, I did it 3 times actually, i don't think it's so bad, but if you did not enjoy it, and only want to do it once, the moment you can get to Bevyn's Coile means you finished it (as Kitty said get the telepad there). This means next time you can just level with bounty hunting in the Pyrrus (55-75) zones without doing the main storyline. You will be able to continue the story in Bevyn regardless if you do the Pyrrus main quest a 2nd time or not.
Also be sure to grab the quests that are available each rebirth listed in the quest list, they usually offer rewards that are unique and very useful. Hope this helps!
Not sure you can start the next installment of the main quest that should be coming somewhere in the future if you didnt do 1-30

I've been doing the option #3 in the OP. My question is this: I RB at 76 (just happened that way). I have the 60 RB remaining then the 90.
I'm asking this because I want to get as high level as I can before opening the legendary chests before April 1st.
I know once I reach level 76 I lose the RB buff...
When I do rebirth, say 80 or something (I don't think I can hit 90 before the 1st of April) Obviously I will no longer have a RB buff by then. So when I do the 60 RB will the buff only last until 60? or will it last until 80?

So... if I am now at 45 and try to get to 75 and do the Rebirth at 75 I guess that over the points idel 75 I will also get those of the 45 right? so ... if I could now try to get to 90 the first time and do the Rebirth at 90 I will get all the missing points?

If i understand your question.... if you RB 35, 45 and 75 you will get points for 3 RB. Will will not get points for the 60RB until you reach 60 again then RB at that time.
In other words, you have to RB 5 times to get all 20 points regardless or order.

Right, you only get 5 for the 75
Updated the guide with the new XP scaling values (in short leveling up will be a bit slower now). But otherwise no significant changes to Rebirthing this patch. Will update it again in August if there'll be any new quests with unique, valuable rewards

Thank you Dawnfire, very nice guide. I especially like the questlist worth repeating, that you included the craft and gather quests which give cash store items (ie. sockets). A very common question from new players is " How can you earn crowns?" Of course a common purchase is sockets.
Quest list:
- Main quest (Various epic gear and other goodies)
- Gnogmentation (Sockets)
- The Benefits of Crafting (Crafting goodies)
- The Gatherers of Ethos Island (Gathering goodies)
- The Power of Luckinium (10 × Gold Luckinium)
- Gold for Goblins (Bounty Hunter's Badge)
- Cinilda in Crystal Spire (Sockets, Potions)
- Returning the Spade of Bones (5 Mana potions, 3 Elixirs of Reaping)
- Treasures of Turnapin (Lots of goodies)
- The Unfolding Tale (Weapon, sockets, massive amount of XP)
- The Lost Treasure of Covigne (Huge amount of Gold)
Nice guide!
Tolly in Shadow Fated Vega (needs to be unlocked with medallions) (1 Voltan's Resurrect)
Since you have some quest stuff anyway:
(level 74+) Florizel, Kepple Cavern, H1, in the Mysterious Cave (25 Animal Treats, 3 sockets) if you talk to him after completing the Pyrrus questline
(level 90+) Jurriaan Lightveil in Dusk Twins (3 sockets) if you talk to him after completing The Blessings of Tianma
Are there more 'secret' rewards from NPCs after finishing their quests? ie. rewards given outside the official quest rewards?
