The Housing NPC Naming Contest!

As we mentioned in the most recent issue of the Ardent Ledger, when Housing goes live, a chatty new NPC will dwell in all of your villages. Instructing players via a tutorial quest, this knowledgeable woman or fellow will teach players how to customize the interiors of their houses.

And we think that such a pivotal new NPC ought to be named by our VH player community! So for this contest, just post what you think would be the best name for this new house customizing teacher. Feel free to also include gender and outfit ideas for him/her, or any other fun little details which come to mind!

There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit, just be sure to please include your in-game character name and server when posting. (Also, this is a Forums-only contest, and will not be available on Discord.)

The winner will receive 100 crowns, and have the pleasure of seeing their contribution in every village on every server!

This contest will close on: Friday, January 27th.

The Otter team will then select their favorite entry. We can’t wait to see all the creative names you come up with! Good luck, and have fun!

My immediate first thought is to name the NPC after one of the greatest architects that has ever set foot on the planet, and that is Antoni Gaudí. He is the creative genius who invented organic architectures like the famous Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain. Walking around in that cathedral is a real life experience of wandering around in a fantasy world, obviously something that V&H players should all appreciate.

I am no good with names, so I"ll take the outfit part of the burden.
Sadly, the original villager outfits just dont slay at all. I love the leather apron, but it needs pants underneath! not a dress (who can build in a dress? it truly was a mystical land..). The red apron beside it is more of a cooking assemble so that one goes too. I didnt even take the effort to screenshot the third, the green orange dress thingy villager outfit, horrible. Maybe we can bribe Michelle into touching it up a bit, bring it into the 21'st century. I like the winged helmet, because it looks a bit like those yellow hard cases builders wear.


The best thing I could find was the original hunter outfit from the starter outfits: it looks villagy and rugged, but is functional.


One thing I do know.
I need this NPC to casually hold a big-ass hammer
