Daily in Liar 5 leather straps
each strap requires 4 threads
each thread requires 5 gossburg cloth
each cloth requires 2 fleece
really?

so you need 20 threads that need 5 gossburg cloth each so that would be how many cloth?
Where is Math Fish when you need him?

and each tread cost 5 sliver 61 copper
Where is Math Fish when you need him?

My suggestion is 1 strap needs 1 thread.
Let's see...hmmm.. Where is Math Fish when you need him?

5 straps = 20 threads = 100 cloth = 200 fleece (or silkworms surely?)

200 silkworms = about 4 mins gathering (less if you have a gathering hat or other buffs). Crafting 100 cloth is another 5 mins max (less if your village is more developed or you have motes to use) 20 threads 1 minute and the straps a few seconds, making a round total of just over 10 minutes at most. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm pretty sure I've spent a lot longer than that searching for eg brains for the zombies in Moors, so I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

The problem is price of these threads, it takes a lot of gold what is almost impossible for newer players ... Also some recipes requires lvl 30 mats like ores or eggs, again impossible for newer players unless they buy from others, christmas event should be chill, relax, and everything should be available to do for everyone regardless of level, not stress with such recipes for new players or foolish goons quest or bash

Materials for Goons is a daily quest that is inside of Grinchta's Hideout which is one of three that daily quests that is required to unlock Plumkiss and the Bash.
There are 3 random requirements to complete the quest, 5 leather straps, 5 sturdy gear, or 5 stout pipes.

For the 5 Leather Straps it is 20 goosburg thread and 10 bristlefur pelts total, which as stated before is 5s 61c to craft each thread. That is approximately 1g, 100 clothes, and 10 pelts required to complete one quest.
For the 5 Stout Pipes, that is 10 Iron Hobnails and 10 Iron Ingots total, to craft an iron hobnail it costs 14s 35c each. That is approximately 1g 40s and 60 of a level 30 refined ingot.
For the 5 Sturdy Gears, it is 10 copper ingot and 5 tigris oil total. There is no crafting costs associated with completing this quest requirement.

In an event zone meant for all players, why should there be level 30 items as part of the quest, especially one that unlocks more content in the event zone? (I disagree with having a daily quest requirement to unlock content in an event zone but that's a different thread) And why have it cost 1g or more just to craft the items needed for the quest, you can not buy these for cheaper than the craft cost either.
Last question, why is there such a difference in the crafting components required for the quest? One is a lv15 component and lv15 ranch item, another is a lv30 component and lv30 refined item, and the last is a lv1 refined item and lv15 refined item.

Time isn't the issue: the issue is the cost in terms of gold & resources. Even if it takes more than 10 minutes to collect zombie brains (or to gather all the dropped items for the Lair's regular crafting quests), basic combat doesn't use up our resources or cost us gold.

The only answer that makes sense is that event zones are no longer meant for all players. They're not meant for low level players who don't have the resources or gold (or the bag space) to complete crafting quests, and they're not meant for those who don't enjoy "challenging content/combat". I gave up on Grinchta's Lair when the Plumkiss/Bash content was added, so I've never done those crafting quests: I have no idea if the rewards for them are worth the cost in gold & resources. I can say, however, that the rewards for the regular crafting quests in the Lair are not worth the cost. (Even the much easier crafting quests in Moors sometimes reward less than they cost.) To make matters worse, isn't it necessary to do those Plumkiss crafting quests multiple times to unlock that content?

christmas event should be chill, relax, and everything should be available to do for everyone regardless of level,
I'll just add that this should apply to all of the event zones. The E in EZ is supposed to stand for "Event", not "Exclusionary" or "Elitist".
