Pure quality of life - allow to get items out of email like we move items between bags and vaults. (ctrl click I think... it is so automatic I have to think hard about what my fingers do)

Smaller, more compact, villages for small guilds! (12 lots to start with, expandable to a max of 25)
Hostile takeovers, and vault raiders are the bane of my, and my guild's, V&H life, and I can't count how many times I have considered leaving altogether, simply because a small guild can't protect itself from these things, and the stress of losing what my guild and I have spent years, and resources, on creating.
Please, don't squash us, just because we're little.
Maybe have smaller/half size starter villages, that do NOT have the option to expand, or at least, where the manager could lock projects to stop people from (unwittingly) opening a new section of village, because they want to 'help', by donating to the project?! It would give large guilds the choice to expand, and small guilds to be content, and happy, in the safety of their wee corner, in the growing world of V&H.
Or, perhaps, just a windy 'country road', with enough room for a dozen, or so, friends to share.
Instead of a huge vault, it would have a communal shed (trimmed down version of village vault), with a small orchard for plant based nodes, which could have trees and small bushes mixed in, which would keep it small, by making better use of space (bushes are smaller than trees, and could be placed in those awkward 'spaces/corners', clicking on them would 'walk' toon to the front of the bush for harvesting, which is already in game). Wood trees would be part of the village scenery, maybe there's a gnarly, ancient oak as a focal point at the end of the road, or somewhere in the mini village; shrubbery along gardens (opportunity for chance meetings, and having a blether over the fence); a rocky wasteland type plot with nodes for ore (they don't have to be as big as they are in game just now, indeed sizes could vary depending on space available); this plot could have a small spring, that becomes a winding creek, gently flowing along a meandering country road, or through a sleepy country village, renowned for its excellent fishing spots (trout anyone?)
When it comes to mushrooms, why not have a NPC mycologist, named Mike, who will give you nicely cleaned and chopped, mushrooms, in trade for 20 wild ones (nats)? Either that, or have a small, shady, spot, near the spring. Just like the fruit trees and bushes, the old oak and shrubbery, the mining area, would have a dark, damp, and muddy corner, by the spring; during the day, it catches just enough sun for warmth, to grow mushrooms, ready for picking. Not all shrooms grow on the ground, some prefer sitting on a log, others hang on to cracks in walls.
To save more space, perhaps nodes could be multi purpose? e.g. one fishing hole, put in Bluegill, harvest Bluegill, put in Trout, harvest trout, etc.
->>the village shed is stocked with nats, ready and waiting.
Work stations, could be part of a communal outbuilding (similar to the ones in Lake Kiwa), with a smithy attached to the outside, each having one or, maybe two, work spots (small group of people = relatively easy to take turns)

So many good suggestion already, everything I could remember is in previous posts
One thing, maybe somebody mentioned before me, as our animals level up they change appearance, can we change appearances of animals we unlocked? Or add new ones like colorful glowing sheeps before?

I would like to have it possible where a player can donate to another village project. I have a toon ( alt) which I have to place items into shared vault which I then have to go to, empty out the vault only to jump back to my main and repeat the process Again because I don’t have more than 1 shared vault which I have items stored in should my alt need while i am being I don’t have to leave and get on my toon. I tend to forget what it is that I would like to work on when i jump back and forth repeating. a mail box or dump box that I can just visit place my items into which I can then select the project I would like to donate to. When it is asking for said items it will take out of dump box. Running around visiting each project takes up time. Which eats into my limited time.

I would like to see a back door to the house so we can access our vaults while gardening/ranching.
An easily edited favorites list... especially for zones you visit frequently and friends you contact most
More options for sorting items, as well as sub-sorts... e.g., I would like to be able to sort my gear by type (helm, weapon, trinket, etc.), then by level, then by whether it is legendary, epic, rare, or uncommon...
An ability to search vaults
A toggle switch that allows you to either friend one toon on an account... or all.
You have many, many senior players who deal with arthritis and there is far too much clicking involved for many things we must do... especially planting/gathering/feeding... using items... breaking down items. Why not an option to "plant/gather all"... a "use all"... a "reduce all by one level"? If possible, perhaps the ability to choose a number for how many you want to use or break down?
I know it's been said before, but message boards... especially one for guild rules and one for village rules... one for vault rules... and I love the idea of being able to post a message on your house as well... e.g., this is lyrra's house... I am on vacation until such and such a date, etc.
How about if you could add a short message about your toon that people could see when they long press your toon or your name in their friend's list... e.g., on vacation until such and such a date. I also love the idea someone else posted of including "last time logged in"
Please, please, please... a time stamp on chat messages! Use Ardent Time if time zones around the world make that a hassle.
More shared vault space.
Make items purchased from shop unfettered... nothing you buy with your own money should be soulbound or even account bound. I ran into this problem when trying to buy a 50 crown item for my Secret Santa gift... there was nothing I could purchase on my mobile for gifts because everything was bound.

Definitely more shared vault space, i would be willing to buy it from crown shop as an add-on item. With five active toons 3 shared vaults isn’t enough.
my first shared vault is full or health, mana, diners, triads, etc of various levels that my potions master makes for all my alts.
the second vault is full of gathered matts to share between my toons
the third vault is full of everything i want to share between my toons.
i could use another shared vault for refined mats for example.

Hi there! I really love the build name Quality of Life and all the posts here!! I can't think of any better to add, but a littl suggestion.. I do wish there was cake recipe. I like the whole pie cooking and brilliance buff we have, but I'm sure in medieval times there was cake too
For the mail inbox the letters must be deleted each, along with the warning if I do. It would be nice if there's a delete all option.
_________
For chat, it would be helpful to have transparent or movable chatbox so I can continue gameplay. For example in party, I don't know what happens while answer to chat because my character couldn't stay alive
Another suggestion would be for ranching tools are accessible in the Secondary quick action toggle bar, or have a way for quick access to care the animals..
_________
I just had an idea for the vault to allow number figures, so we can deposit gold in our vault for saving and withdrawing. I think it would add to the whole house rent feature we have too. I know once I started out I was so thrilled about house rent, so it would be nice to have a little gold saving as well
Finally, I would also love to see for new emotes or funny, interactive ones such as Duel in the new build. And mini-games too, such as interactive connect four, Uno or chess in Ardent City near the auction house. Lol
Thank you for reading.. I'm lowkey excited for the Quality of Life build could be.

Do more with crafting specs. Something like potion master can make armor dye so you can customize your armor. But need armor spec to dye it. Just a thought. I know food and water would be a pain but still add to useful skills. Keeping food for your character to keep them at full strength and able to run? Adds more interest in cooking.
I also think adding playable races to the game would be really cool. Humans, Oogers, fish people, gnomes, etc.

Ideas that we think would be nice to implemented include:
- mini clock in mini map.
- be able to see what each town station needs next without having to run around to them all.
-Battle pets that actually help in a fight
- companions that can stay with you all the time without having to turn them on every 10 minutes (or whatever length they are)
- a version of the game that can run on iMacs that don’t have M1 chip
- extra hot bar slot for toys
- being able to use the full pages of guild vault - so much wasted space.
- a snowy village option.

....
Instead of guilds having an entire village of their own, they could have guild halls which would have all the benefits of a village except housing and crafting stations.
I think Kave has made a post about this, guildhalls only and we have to make our own crafting stations in Ardent City, Lake Kiwa and all other safe gathering spots. Wll have to search on the forum for his post. He had some village projects suggestions somewhere - pity all is all over the place at the forum. Or maybe he will post it here again
This ends the STRESS about keeping villages private.
*if guildvillages stay: decrease it to 30/40 anyone who is mayor in a small guild know how stressful this is - timevconsuming to recruit new staying members - it takes a lot of time that we cannot use to play our toons
*at the village hall a board where we can see which projects needs donations, so we don't have to run around to check all, just to find out that one has the wrong items to fill or donation is no longer posssible
*at the village hall a board where only the mayor can see who lost their house, or left. which house spots are still open.
*mail: the possibility to send more then 6 items or if that is not possible to inccrease the stack of these 6 items.
*wardrobe: complete overhaul - maybe different sections like shop bought outfits, event outfits, ... - the possibility to see/get all items from the outfit at once glance
*extra village vault project
*leaf and soil projects: add snowy trees/soil for Grinchta
*Well spring project: maybe at the chance for plenties in our village
*toy bag - mount bag (the mountlist gets enormous long when one has a lot of them)
*let us have our house at least 1 month before it collaps.
These are the ones that I can think of atm.

I feel this part is very important to the future longevity of the game, particularly when the game title starts with Villagers. While I wanted to avoid specific implementations (at risk of easy dismissal due to ABC reasons), it is hard to convey a concept without examples. I believe a vision aimed at entertaining concepts is crucial for a game to be fun.a large build, or expansion, which will focus on improving, and hopefully much enhancing, the villaging side of Villagers & Heroes, that other half of the game
Taking a shot at going bigger, and drawing on many great comments and suggestions:So I’m not saying don’t think big, just please think realistically big is all.![]()
Concept: Improve the rote boring elements. Villaging gameplay needs to be more than a click every 60s (crafting/gathering) or 2-22 hours (gardening/ranching). Enhance the village gameplay with tasks (perhaps questlines) to engage the player.
Example: A woodcrafting session could involve a daily quest to gather items ABC from zones XYZ. Allows reuse of the click to gather but much less of it. Great to have players revisit other zones (e.g., kill an elder/bounty for drop, or raid at a specific difficulty/boss). The quest completion grants xp for a given profession, as well as quest items that actually do something more than occupy vault space once acquired (see next).
Concept: Improved progression ramp that yields feelings of addiction and euphoria resulting from mini rewards after small tasks, followed by larger accomplishments and greater reward. Try to avoid the recycled copy & paste feel, such as the “not again, medallion grind” or the click every 60s, just a different material.
Example: A matrix of enchantment items and thematic skill trees for say, Gardening. Gardening gloves, could buff xp when planting seeds. A scythe could fast harvest and improve abundant proc. A shovel can seed 5x spots at a time. A tractor could expand the size of your garden. A completed garden set could (insert creative idea). Milestones like these make the journey to max garden less of a chore. Development of some basic items could cross over to other professions (eg., smithing is needed to forge shovel).
Concept: Evolution of your personal closet, furniture, house, village look and function. Better game aesthetics.
Example: Per above progression concept, a Tailoring journey (skill improvements, item unlocks) could involve step-wise milestones such as a needle & thread, sewing machine, a washboard to craft and buff wearables. Ultimate unlocks result in new outfit varieties that have functionality (flair perhaps if you want to avoid stat buff). Bring back that girl doing the raid art to draw up some nice clothes.
Concept: Leverage the social in this game (the strongest part of V&H). Instances in the houses or guild hall to do social activities. Delve into the Social Simulation genre more.
Example: Animal Crossing is an excellent case study. A sample screening on a “Lets Play” Animal Crossing video demonstrates a rich culture of interaction, massive player base, and prolonged ‘hang-outs’. Consider how event committee is always looking for ways organize events in V&H. Provision of a platform to enable this interaction can range from mini-games to cross village co-op / competition. Functional toy and pet rewards might fit well into this aspect (a potential thread on its own).
More to come potentially but I’ll stop here because this might be beyond scope of the OP. Thanks Sarah for acknowledging the community and soliciting feedback prior to the next release to guage what players want.

Except that it doesn't. Private villages provide security and peace of mind. Without the ability to close a village, you have to constantly worry about outside groups taking over and locking out those who worked to build it up.This ends the STRESS about keeping villages private
I would rather deal with the minor stress of juggling population among a group of players I know and trust than try to do that while also playing politics to hold onto mayor positions. What a nightmare!

Thank you for taking the time to ask us what we would like! I'm sure some of these have already been said, but they are things I would like to see.
[ ] Alliance chat
[ ] Ability to dye the color of outfits
[ ] Separate place to hold pets and toys, besides your normal bag space
[ ] "Wellspring" for the crafting stations. Once its filled, you can get extra crafting xp for a limited time.
[ ] More random wildlife, like the fish or lobsters in water. Would love to see some otters playing in a river or a chipmunk in a tree etc...
[ ] More characters per mail. Dislike having to shorten mails or send as two or more to get it all sent
[ ] Guild/village board to post upcoming events and other important info that the guild may want to post
[ ] Options to change up the garden and ranching fences as well as some new house options
[ ] Add jewelry crafting and specialization
[ ] Give a reason to level up ranching. Like at level 60 give a 10% chance to harvest extra mats off your animals, level 75 get a 20% chance and so on
[ ] Be able to break down ranching mats without the large amount of clicking
[ ] Have an option to reroll the stats on gear using gold and or other materials

•Add crown bags to gathering.
Simply when player gather, there is chance to drop soulbound bag that cintains 1-5 crowns.
Chance to drop is very rare similar to key of red darring while killing mobs.
This may motivate players to focus on gathering skills and give hope to players that can't pay real money

Chance to drop is very rare similar to key of red darring while killing mobs.
This may motivate players to focus on gathering skills and give hope to players that can't pay real money
I'm going to start off by summarising wht to me is the biggest problem right now.
The game is called Villagers and Heroes. There are essentially two halves to the game - the villaging half and the heroic half. Villagers grow plants in their gardens, raise animals in their ranch, gather various raw materials and craft items using the products of gathering, ranching and gardening. Villagers can also specialise in various particular forms of crafting, and can contribute to projects in their village. Heroes go out and explore the world, perform quests and kill mobs.
On the face of it, everything seems pretty much balanced, in fact if anything, the village side of the game appears to be a bigger part of the game, but when you look a little deeper, it looks a little different. Let's consider the heroic character. What do they gain from exploring, doing quests and killing mobs? In short, how do they progress and grow? Well, most obviously, they gain experience, level up and grow in that sense. Levelling up makes them stronger, allows them to use stronger and better gear, adds new items such as trinkets and class items, and allows them to travel to new zones to experience new features of the game and follow new storylines and witness new vistas and truly immerse themselves in the world. Quests give items too. Levelling up opens up the exciting prospect of raids. Levelling up also opens up access to new gathering zones, allowing players to gather and craft better items.
Now let's consider the villagers. What do they gain from gardening, ranching, gathering and crafting? How do they progress and grow? Well, once again , the obvious gain is experience in the skill being carried out. Gaining gardening xp allows you to plant new crops. Gaining ranching xp opens up extra animal slots and new animals you can tend in your ranch. Gathering xp allows you to gather higher level resources, crafting xp allows you to make higher level items. Still sounds good, doesn't it, lots of new items to make, new resources to find - but here we hit the snag. What can I do with these new recipes, and new resources?
Simple - I can make items to support combat.
That's it. Village characters have no function except to support combat. NONE.
As a villager, I can craft weapons and armour (for combat) I can craft potions, breakfasts and drams (to support combat). It is true I can craft triad potions which help me perform village skills, and grow herbs to help with gathering, but ultimately that still just boosts my village skills - but to no purpose other than to support combat. Village characters literally have no raison d'etre - except to support combat.
What I would like to see more than anything else is for the village aspect of the game to actually have some purpose or function of its own, other than (as it is at present) being nothing more than a support for combat.
To achieve that, I would like to see the following.
1) Housing - allow us inside our houses, and allow us to craft items to go in those houses.
2) Outfits - allow crafters to make outfits, that are not actually armour (ie wardrobe appearances).
3) Quests - the game used to have lots of quests that were village related, such as the daily quests in Maiden and Shiverspine to the lazy guy in Lady's Lake who couldn't be bothered fishing, and the Robe made from gouger furballs. There was also the ranching one (to obtain fine fleece). Mounds used to be fulll of bug related quests (Bug related in every sense of the word) now it is just an empty zone that links to a bunch of combat zones. Please add quests like these at all levels, and in all zones (or at least all regions) - and make at least some of them proper quests, not just "gather 15 fish" like the dailies in Thriving Isles. (Dailies like those are fine, but it would be good to have some typically quirky V and H quests that were village related too).

Triad potions are also locked by combat level for some reason, unlike verda and pies. It'd be nice for them to be unlinked from that.It is true I can craft triad potions which help me perform village skills, and grow herbs to help with gathering, but ultimately that still just boosts my village skills - but to no purpose other than to support combat.

First off, I want to say the mobile port/interface is amazing! I don't know the game on PC, but I have played it on mobile for many years happily, and there are very few major issues.
1) One of those major issues is mail on mobile. Mobile mail needs a complete overhaul. We can see about five words at a time, have NO formatting abililty, and can't copy/paste. You wouldn't think that mail in a game would be such a major issue but it really is for anyone attempting to organize anything. As a mayor and a member of the event committee it's a major pain in my hiney ALL THE TIME. Please, please fix mail! Fix it! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
2) Confirmation before deleting an item in your inventory.
3) Standardization of mobile inventory interface. A while back you went from a list view to a graphical view of inventory (I gather similar to what PC users see). Unfortunately, you didn't finish the process and when selling to NPCs or trading to players the old list view still pops up. This means I have to memorize the names of items instead of relying on position in my bags, and if there are multiple items with the same name I then have to long press and examine the stats to try and figure out if it is the correct one.
That's all I can think of offhand for major "this really annoys me" issues (excluding combat issues). I'll post suggestions for "I think these would be really cool additions" in a separate post.
P.S. fix mobile mail, please

I remember reading that. After over 9 years of building and protecting my guild village, I'm pretty sure I would riot if that ever happened. What I wrote about the stress was for the text above - Kave has posted here on the forum, but God knows whereabout no villages at all, just guildhalls.
Thanks for clarifying, tho!
