Specialization and Rebirth

Someone told me that if I made one of my characters a Specialization and then Rebirth that char I would lose my Specialization? If that is true, why?

It's not.

To expand on what Majenta said, the only things you lose are combat levels and progress on any quests you have not completed.
That's it.
When you go to rebirth there is a Q&A you have to complete that clearly explains what the process entails.

Yes Littlenymph I know about the rebirth. 4 of my chars are in 2nd rebirth and one in 3rd rebirth. But because of someone mentioning I would lose my Specialization I thought I put the question here and get a correct answer. Have not yet tried Specialization but will soon do. Thanks guys for your reply
