Hi, Everyone,
We've heard conflicting reports about this, so please let us know what you all think. Currently, when a toy is used, the toy menu automatically closes. Would you prefer it to stay open until clicked, or have it remain as it is?

Can we have an option to turn off/on the stay open? Like some might not want it to stay open, while others do. Or maybe different situations, i wouod like it to stay open when inactivate all my fire works.
but it doesnt need to stay open when throwing an egg. So maybe if we can turn it off on.

I’d prefer for it to stay open so I can rapidly spam various fireworks and beacons. This was possible when I had the toys on the hot bar.
Or imagine when we do those server-wide snowball / chocolate / kiss / etc. fights. Do you really want to have to click open the menu to send multiple volleys during that type of an event? Having to reopen(aka, “reload”) between shots won’t be fun.

I agree with both the previous posters. (See? I'm being helpful!) lol
An option to have the menu "sticky" or not would be ideal. If that isn't possible, then I would rather have the menu not closed after using an item. Basically it would be like most other menus we have (at least on pc) where you have to actively close it (inventory, character screen, auction menu, and so on).

I recommend that we suggest a very convoluted, complicated, programming intensive solution. I’m thinking something like adding logic where it stays open when you use a toy, but closes when you use a pet or visual effect. Or a toggle for each individual toy that allows you to specify if it stays open or closed after use.
The otters are going to love this idea.

Personally I prefer if it stay open after use, because more often than not I'll use more than one toy at a time when I do want to use my toys. Also if possible I'd love if the toy box stay open when I left-click on anything else, but would love to still have quick close with may be "esc" and right click.

As someone who rarely uses toys I’d prefer it close after. It’s just going to make me want to use them less. There’s already to much clutter on mobile that I’d prefer if it just closed after use. That’s just my preference and I’m sure if this is implemented I doubt we will see on on/off switch. Just my opinion.

My personal preference is ‘use doesn’t close anything’. No reason why it should on some items and not others. Whatever the choice, the UI should be consistent.

I like the idea of a tick box type of option like we have for so many other things.. but even tho i dont use toys a lot.. me having to close the window once in a while when i choose to use them vs the people who use them often having to click over and over again.. i think that that is the better option if we have to choose

We could add a full screen prompt after using a toy asking if you want to close the window or keep it open.
Every single time.
Every single time.

Oh, you mean like using a quest item and having to go back into your bag to use the next one?My personal preference is ‘use doesn’t close anything’. No reason why it should on some items and not others. Whatever the choice, the UI should be consistent.

yeah, that sucks.

Don't forget the confirmation: "Are you sure?"We could add a full screen prompt after using a toy asking if you want to close the window or keep it open.
Every single time.
Alternatively, you could, "for security reasons", have the player reenter their log in credentials to confirm the closing of windows.

I think you’re on to something. This is totally doable. Alternatively, instead of asking you for validation by requiring your log in credentials, it could message a random, online friend to get their consent to close your pop up window. It’s a perfect way to ensure you don’t do something you didn’t want to do.

I think it depends on what type of toy we're using, some toys, like our little pets, morphs, campfires etc only need one click to
enjoy them, so auto-close would be good, however, a quick right-click to close the box, is perfectly fine ( barely a twitch, so
almost automatic already);
while others, such as fireworks, eggs, snowballs, kisses etc need to happen in quick succession, so staying open would be a
lot more useful... except for the box blocking the view...
I mean, what's the point of throwing a volley of snowballs, if you can't see them engage with target?!
Maybe, having the option to take toys out of the box, and back into our bags/hot bar (is that what it's called?), and then
back to toybox, until we want to use them again?
It would work the same way, as moving items to and from our vaults/bags.

it depends on the toy some like the snowballs chocolate chunks eggs & kissy lips are more convenient if it doesnt close however the pets/companions/morphs those are better if it does close. having an option (like the one on the quick bar for buffs) where you can chose to stay open or shut after clicking would be ideal

I prefer to close windows and pop-ups when I am through with them instead of having the system attempt to make those choices for me.

How do you feel about the proposal of letting your friends decide if you’re allowed to close windows on your behalf? Given your position of preferring to have personal autonomy that you may not like that idea very much.
I just want to be able to have Kissy lips fights. It's already harder than it used to be - we used to move the item to the action bar, and then you could run around chasing your guildies, friends, enemies.... A minor tradeoff though, to all the bag space we gained and being able to keep all toys with us at all times.
I would prefer the toy menu to stay open after use of a toy. It is a big part of the screen yes, but perhaps the icons for each toy can be made a bit smaller, they are rather large on my pc screen.
Or maybe only the top line of your toy bag stays open so you can place your favourites there and use as some sort of quick slots to use the throwable ones in snowball/egg fights etc.
