It sounded as if every character was going to receive a makeover kit. I only received one kit per server, not per character. Wasn't sure if I was misunderstanding what we were getting or if its bugged so I thought I'd check here first. Is it one per character, or one per server? Thanks.

Sarah used the plural form, "makeover kits". This specifically means each person is getting more than one. But I suppose this is our fault for just "not understanding".
We will be distributing free makeover kits to all players.

In the first place, there is no fault here. In the second place, saying we will be giving kits (plural) to all players (plural) is NOT the same as saying we will be giving kits (plural) to each player (singular). In the third place, no one lost anything, since this merely fixed a previous bug, so Mad Otter were under no obligation to give any kits out, they simply gave players one because as always, Mad Otter are generous towards their playerbase.Sarah used the plural form, "makeover kits". "And all players can once again adjust their character heights! (We will be distributing free makeover kits to all players, so that everyone can partake of choosing unique heights for their ,toons should they so desire.)"
You are maybe right with your "second place" but in the context of the whole sentence, a different picture emerges.
They used the words "heights" and "toons" in plural.
When I read this, it was clear to me that we get a kit for every toon on each account per server.
We have learned here in this discussion that this only one kit for the entire account has led to a disaster in at least one case.
This "now my toon is so tiny I hate her" broke my heart.
So what will happen? The player has to buy a new kit, reset the height and hope that it was the original height. There is no way to see what the char looks like later in the game (no comparisons to the game environment).
Is it the original height? No? Buying new kit... original height? No? Buying new ... buying ... buying
Mhh...

I want to be clear that I wasn't throwing blame at anyone. I just wasn't sure what was being distributed to the players. I took the message to mean each character was getting a makeover kit, but that seems to not be the case here, and that's ok too even though I'd prefer that each character got one.
Hi, Everyone,
We gave out one makeover kit per server, so all players received one makeover kit. It also says this on the news feed of the character create screen. (“one makeover kit.”)

Our goal with adding functionality for size was not to make money by selling makeover kits. It was instead to add more character choices for players.
For this reason, we have decided to give out an additional three makeover kits to all players. To be clear, this means that 4 characters for each player will receive makeover kits.
We will be doing this within the hour, and at that time, the messaging on the news feed will change to reflect this.

Technically each "player" means you, the one behind the characters, the person who created the account, and the one who plays on each character. Now if she said "each character" I'd agree, but since the announcement says, "We will be distributing free makeover kits to all players. " That would be the account holder no matter if you have one or 10 characters.
But as I see, Mad Otter has decided to graciously decided to give 3 more to players.
Awesome!! and Thank you!

You simply asked a question, no worries at all. Questions are good for clarifying things you don't understand.I want to be clear that I wasn't throwing blame at anyone. Hi Sarah. Thank you for the clarification and thank you so much for your generosity! I first installed VnH about 7 years ago and have remained active throughout. This is one of the reasons why. The Otters are a great team and I'm very happy to support. Thanks again!

Kudos to Sarah for dealing with all the CS “issues” and various complaints, honestly I would have lost it a long time ago and started banning everyone

ran a rift. run time was 35min, so now the run looks like it will be more focused on speed and less on mechanics (of which most can be ignored now) I’m conflicted on this wile certain bosses did seriously need the hp nerf (the three with defensive mechanics) others didn’t (the other 7) as a result you can ignore the “speed up dps“ mechanics more as they are no longer needed.
effects of this are that pinbones quest is now very viable and the content might see more use as it doesn’t take 1h-2h30 any more and is easier to swallow.
with the removal of artefacts M.E has lost all its trade value (probably a good thing) and reward boxes have taken a major hit to the top end of there potential value was 3-260 m.e now 5-15 it might be worth considering lowering the vendor price for additional boxes as 100 for at best 15 and a 1% chance at a toy seams high (don’t forget you can only get 50-150 m.e per run now) or M.E after getting the unlimited mana potion will seam worthless.

That's because run was with near 30 players, 2 or more tanks and couple of healers. I'm not sure mechanics can be ignored with group of up to 10 ppl. Night before it took near an hour for 16 ppl without tank, and we did followed mechanics except with Maradar.ran a rift. run time was 35min, so now the run looks like it will be more focused on speed and less on mechanics (of which most can be ignored now) I’m conflicted on this wile certain bosses did seriously need the hp nerf (the three with defensive mechanics) others didn’t (the other 7) as a result you can ignore the “speed up dps“ mechanics more as they are no longer needed.

I always find it funny when people put the success of this type of content down to player count, it’s rare I don’t do equally well with a much smaller group and no healers. Sure less players means each players individual efforts matter more but it also means your good players have more impact, fewer casual players that cost teams with mistakes like high threat dps players pretending to be tanks and not respecting mechanics like with maradar or the next bosses linked healing or the boss before that that needs to be moved off it’s healing floor (all symptoms of the same problem). Im pretty sure a tight good group that respects each other will do better not worse and will still disrespect the mechanics in most cases for best results as they now have less impact than ever.

I'm always blown away when a person or company does something nice for an individual or group and they receive nothing but grief because they didn't do enough. They didn't have to give even one kit away, period. None. Accept your free gift and move on. And go ahead and criticize me for this post, you're dealing with a person that could care less what people on the internet think of me.
