Reminder about running simultaneous accounts

Hi, Everyone,

As most of you know, having multiple accounts is a violation of ToS. And for those of you who did not know, now you do. Furthermore, running two different accounts simultaneously for the purposes of gaining advantage for one of the toons is considered cheating. There seems to have been some confusion about this. In the past, we have kicked players for doing just that. So please refrain. Thank you.

No. New players have often switched to SAC upon discovering that Steam is not cross-platform. The problem comes when actively playing both of the accounts, especially for the purpose of exploits. (Which I assume you are not doing.)

Thanks for the response. I do actively play on both accounts. My main is on steam and I have alts on the main version. What should I do? Should I delete the alt accounts or just stop playing them? I have spent money on both accounts but for the sake of the TOS I am willing to stop playing on the alternate account. I also will stop playing them simultaneously(I did not know it was against the TOS), thank you for letting me know about that.

How about if the account is owned by 2 different person that live in the same house, but sometimes 1 person control both, because the other get his hands tied like making dinner or something?

You don't have to delete the alt accounts, but please just do not ever run them simultaneously. At present, that is the exploit of concern. Thanks for being so responsible and honest about this!

My six year old sometimes clicks gather on nodes when she finds my iPad unattended in the kitchen. She’s unpaid child labor, but I compensate her with popcorn.

Imp! Such blatant and willful flouting of the child labor and minimum wage laws! I hope you are prosecuted to the full extent of the law!

BTW - I am aware that, in the US, neither child labor nor minimum wage laws apply in any way to your own children. So, "prosecution to the full extent of the law" has already occurred - case closed.

Just be careful that she doesnt open your item bag an start clicking on consumables. i remember someone had his/her child clicking on consumable instead of gathering nodes and that person lost most of their stiff in item bags.
