Hi there. Are there any redeem codes for x-mas this year? I tried asking in game, but everyone just keeps whining about iPhones or whatever and not actually answering. xD So... if there is one, could someone please tell me so? Thanks.
Well, since Apple has decided that they will not allow their users to benefit from redeem codes, I imagine there wont be any right now. Hopefully the Otters are working on another way to make the gifts available to ~all~ players. While I miss them as an Android player, I would miss out rather than get something my fellow players can't simply because of the platform they play on.

Ooo, is that what is going on?! Thank you for letting me know. I agree that everyone should be able to. Shame on Apple!!! Sorry to hear about this.

tbh this is disappointing for us iOS users, but when you look at Apple’s policy, it’s more about protecting their consumers from bad devs who sells those redeem codes to their players
Not talking about Mad Otter of course, but seems some shady devs are doing this

Santa Claus-ish (or whichever event/holiday/new to the game/or awkwardly long downtime is being given a redeem code for) NPC/s in Ardent City/Summer's Hollow that gives a quest to talk to him/her/it again and poof quest finished, rewards are what the redeem code would have been, wrapped up in a box as to hold multiple items if necessary, and flags the person the same as how using a redeem code would, so they cannot collect more than once. Just a thought.

I wonder if they could restrict this to once per account though, as the quest mechanic is available to all characters. We've received some really juicy gifts before that they wouldn't want every character on your account to have.NPC/s in Ardent City/Summer's Hollow that gives a quest to talk to him/her/it again and poof quest finished, rewards are what the redeem code would have been

If it caused the same flagging effect as when you redeem the code on one of your characters, I do not see why it wouldn't restrict it from all other characters. They could finish the "quest" but the end results would be different, something like a stopgap, character nonflagged="redeemed" item given, character(other characters on the account) flagged=nothing given...quest complete.I wonder if they could restrict this to once per account though, as the quest mechanic is available to all characters. Hi, all. I will just reiterate what you all have already figured out: We deliberately chose not to do a redeem code for Christmas because of the iOS restrictions. (It just didn't seem to be in the Christmas spirit that some players should have free gifts, while others could not.)
Thank you for your understanding.

I apologize for stating the obvious but we receive gifts every day from the calendar. So basically we have Christmas year round.

Not the answers I hoped to find, but this is not the first time Apple screwed up something for everyone.
