Also I would like to give a thank you for changing the announcement for prisma. Way better then the original. Hopefully this will apply to the other events! 
Trying to heal yourself is not wrong. In fact, it is essential. You can't heal anyone else if you are dead. (It's also one of the first "rules" of first aid in real life. Don't make yourself a casualty, though some very brave people still do take that risk.)So for me this didn't help, my lv22 Water Shaman and 60ish Holy Priest either died or almost died after the patch. And I was yelled at for trying to heal myself, no idea that was bad! My favorite of the event zones is causing me grief and my own real tears
Telling you off or yelling at you for healing yourself, on the other hand, is utterly wrong.
