Since the arrival of the Grinchta event the number of issues has increased significantly with much of this looking like it may be due to increased server response times. Here is what I've experienced so far.
  1. I've had to stop doing raids as I no longer see any warnings (such as Nicodemus ground alert) until I have died. Then the revive window pops up at the same time as I then see the warning. Also some of the puzzle sequences are not displaying the full sequence (or at least not in a timely manner).
  2. Quests, in general, are taking a long time to update after completing a step. I can wait for up to 1 minute for it to update and sometimes I have to relog to force it to update. Lots of people have been complaining of the same problem.
  3. After I sell all the items in my inventory I then find that 1 bag is still full of items to sell. I then return to the merchant to sell these. Sometimes these items are sold and other times they then just disappear from my bag, having already been sold but my inventory has not been updated to show this.
  4. Items I transfer from my inventory to my vault "bounce" back to my inventory no matter how many times I transfer them over. The only way to resolve this is to relog and the items then appear correctly in my vault. Again this appears to be an update delay.
  5. Gathering is no longer the uniform 1 item per period it always was. Instead there is 1 or 2 seconds where nothing happens and then 2 items are gathered very quickly then this repeats throughout the gather. This is constant throughout all gathering and not intermittent.
  6. Zone maps are now rarely updating correctly except when I kill a bounty. Bounties are disappearing from the map if I come into visual range of them but move out of visual range without killing it. It is verified that the bounty has not been killed by someone else as when I come back into visual range the bounty then re-appears on the map.
  7. Debuff icons are now sometimes not displayed.

Same boat. I felt some of the problems are baked into the client (and I only load PC for test). Bounty state have a range filter, but the why the map is broken doesn’t really matter as much as the how (anytime someone kills a bounty in a zone you’re in) and when (every time you’re in a zone where someone kills a bounty, so.. fairly common).

I’d also like to add ‘casting a feat on a mob 41m away’ has a interminably long delay while the game calculates how to move 1m forward (feat distance check and positioning can take up to ‘10 Mississippi’ before you even move.) I’m not sure you can call it lag, but it’s naked jank.

Did these issues begin with the Christmas Event Build? Were (any of) these happening before the Christmas Event Build?

Also - when you experience one of these long delays, can you submit a bug report immediately afterwards, and note what was delayed.

I'd like to add C.O.G. vendor display delay (started before Grinchta's Lair build). Sometimes, when I get my gathering supplies, it takes up to 30 seconds for the display over the vendors' heads to disappear. This happens much more frequently in my public village than in my guild village. I'm not sure, but I think this started during the Haunted Moors. I haven't bug reported it, but I will the next time it happens.

I've had this problem intermittently since I've been playing V&H, and I assumed it was due to my ping rate. Lately though, the "tempo" of gathering is a bit off, making it tricky to switch between supplies (on PC). I'm not sure if this started with Grinchta or with raids.

I have noticed some village lag (just general impact on moving & interacting with anything) since Grinchta started. Those darn daisies just don't want to be picked!

The cog vendor thing has been happening to me also, but not every time. Sometimes to just one out of four toons. This was happening before Grinchta but after Raids.

We are actively investigating the various "delay" issues being reported on this thread. If you do experience a delay, then after it clears up, send a bug report immediately. That gives us an opportunity to look precisely at the error; and allows us to compare your log files with the server log files at that exact moment, and hopefully discern the cause of the bug.
