Please help us understand Raids so we can make them better! Thanks
I'd also add doing challenging content. At least that's part of the reason why I enjoy raids, that it can challenge me, force me to learn and play differently than outside in the open world.

All about the rewards for me - will happily skip a full season if the reward isn't worth it to me.
Gear drops can be nice, but not a driving force for me.
Fun with friends occasionally, but mainly do them solo.
Leaderboard is meaningless to me!
Editing to add, if Catacombs wasn't required for the rewards, I'd never step foot in there again

Definitely the rewards for me. I play to relax, not to be challenged (otherwise known as frustration for me, personally). I will skip an entire season if the rewards aren't something I like, and in most cases I skip the season even when I do like them, depending on my tolerance for the content. I am disliking them less this season, but that's fine, they're just not personally for me. The slow running alone is enough to put me to sleep (literally have drifted to sleep between running some of the longer distances). It's just boring. I'm not looking for or asking for change, simply giving my opinion. It isn't that I can't do the content, to be clear, I have well equipped max level toons, but I don't like feeling 'on edge' for each raid. I don't even play timed games on my phone for that exact reason. I don't care for the 'rush'.

All of the above?
initially I get all the rewards as fast as I can bc I want the shiny things. But, I have all the rewards and still enjoy raiding. I like helping my friends through their raids. I like running heroics for a chance of legendary gear drops. I also just like that it’s challenging content. Can only run bounties in blight for so long.
I dislike… multiple month gaps between raid seasons, soulbound drops for the wrong subclass, and that I’ve gotten 1 celestial relic this season despite being dungeoneering lv 67. And that I can’t require a certain dg level for open raids.

I also like striving for the raid mounts, I got the gouger, but am unsure if I'll end up with spider or not. I love all the raids, especially playing with random players, but dont have much luck with plat raids. I think, and this is my opinion of course, that maybe scalling should count up x amount of players overall power and then times that by 10 or 20% for the villains, cause it seems unless you have a well rounded bunch tanks, dps, and healers, some raids are impossible to win and becomes a time issue. I've done raids with all priests, or mixed priest and wizards and still lost because we're underpowered. I'm also curious about something, and I apologize for the dumb question, but let's say I have a 15man raid, and only 7 join, but the raid will read throughout 7/15, so does that mean those 7 people are fighting a raid scaled for 15 players, and will suffer for it? Also it dont matter what anyone says doing puzzles in raids are fun, but maybe in harder raids we could get a few bonus minutes for completing them?

Suggestion for some fixes in Raids
Couple wishes overall: 1. Make higher tier raids give better rewards for dailies/weekly. Bronze/Silver uncommon as base . Gold/Platinum rare as base. Heroic epic as base. 2. Give the vendor new stuff to buy. Suggestion would be to introduce legendary armament boxes for gear so that the base...

Raid Relics
I like the idea of the raid relics but am a bit disappointed in how the rewards are granted .I feel like the higher tier the raid is the better relic you should be granted. The Catacomb: This one enrages me most. Biggest issue is running into the empty voids when enemies teleport. Easy fix is to make characters lose targetting when the bosses teleport, to prevent the forced running to pits. Second thing that is more minor is that I dont understand why spirits gathered during the run are nullified entering the boss fight. It makes no sense as is just arteficial way to slow people down. This raid is allready by far the longest anyway.
Instead of increasing the timer, why not make parts of the raid that are unnecessarily long, shorter? The unnecessary beginning run phase, how many times a boss goes invulnerable, how many souls are required, and those awful affixes.
Challenges to me are about what it takes to complete said challenge, not how long it takes. So the amount of times Thames goes invulnerable is about how long/short does it take to do but the challenge is already there and is always constant so it is stale. For affixes such as massive, magic arcane, steeled etc, these do not add any value to a fight. You can not change your build or strategy to combat a magic arcane, if you’re magical damage based you can not become physical so all the affix did was increase how long you’re whacking the boss. Affixes aren’t interesting or engaging as they are currently, especially the defensive based affixes.

I feel like saying “ditto” is being lazy, but I don’t think I can say any of it better than @Black_Cvlt did.
I’ll just add one thing. I (mostly) raid because it’s fun and I find that “people that are being entertained can often be pretty entertaining”. It’s less fun when my class isn’t welcome in a group.

Be nice have 2 player scaled raids fairly since some of us can only find 2 players to raid.
Rewards on relics need to stop dropping rares passed gold/plat. Season 5 is the worst as far as relics where I’ve gotten to heroics and still no legendary relics.
During cooldown seasons bring back dungeon runs, much superior to raids imo.
Catacombs needs to be scaled to be like the other raid tiers in difficulty please.

I may be a bit different than most here (and also quite similar). I run raids primarily because I love seeing other people having fun and people seem to have a lot of fun in raids when things go well. On the other hand I do love myself a good challenge, but couldn't care less about the leaderboards. I have nothing to add to the "fun" or "no leaderboards" part of the discussion; so I will focus on the challenge.
What do I mean by "challenge"? Certainly, one can be challenged by seeing how far they (or their group) can progress in heroic raids, but there are a couple of problems with this: (1) Some classes are just better than others. Period. And my class is one of the "not better" ones. (2) It ... takes ... forever ... to get to that point for a solid group. I'd say Heroic 40 or 50 is around where I find it is the most enjoyable for me and the group I imagine running with. It takes 420 successful raids (most of them with the group, btw) to get to that point and that is a SLOG.
Other forms of challenge involve changing something about the raid to make things interesting. For example, having your group split in half to tackle two objectives at once, or doing a full clear of Flooded Cloister, or a naked run (no armor), or killing only necessary mobs ... anything the spice up the monotonous "run the same dungeon x times every season". I honestly wouldn't mind seeing alternative modes where you give double the dungeoneering bonus but enemies get some special bonus, or you deal less damage but enemies have less status resistance, something that fundamentally changes how the raid is run. You could even add something for the hardcore group like all cold stacks are permanent in the Rookery.
So, by challenge, I mean both numerical difficulty (which we have) and mechanical difficulty (which I feel hasn't been tapped into as much). I feel adding something like the above in raids is something that would take a while to get started, but would be easy to expand once the foundation is set. Maybe you have more raids planned I don't know about. That works too. I just want to stir the pot, so to speak. I get bored easily. hehe

I ran one season full to platinum and after that I was kinda done with it. SEen the zones, done them all (a few times too often).
I am running for bronze this season, I like the wreath, but any of the higher prizes is just too much repetitive. I also dislike having to redo the same raid 5 times to even open the next. So I end up doing one raid, then none for a few days. remember I have to do raids, do another... etc
if they were all open at the start you could mix and match more at the start depending on what you feel like to run, and be less bored by having done the same raid 4 times already, and having it to do ANOTHER time before you can do a different one.

I was still pretty new during the first season of raids, and it was such a bad experience that I haven't done much raiding since. (I've never completed bronze level, and I haven't done a single raid this season.)
I voted for the loot/gear drops because I'm terrible about keeping current with my questing. I mainly level up in event zones, so I end up making gear or buying (mostly crafted) gear. Sometimes, I just want something different that's also the right level, so I'll do a few raids for the gear drops. (I prefer solo when I raid for drops because I can't grab the loot and keep up with a group.)
To me, raids are a strange mix of stress & boredom. Stress from trying to read the instructions & fight at the same time (solo raids), or from not wanting to let anyone down (group raids). Boredom from having to do the same raid so many times just to unlock the next tier of raids. The rewards from raids just aren't worth it to me. Now, if they started rewarding vaults, I might reconsider!

Taking advantage of the occasion, I would like to renew the request that many players have already made, in addition to the various points that were placed here, that the rewards of the raids be given according to my class AND SUBclass.
They are soulbounds and, even though they are legendary, they are useless if they don't serve my subclass.
I can't even pass it on to friends
