Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update so that you know what we're fixing, and are aware of. All of the following should be fixed in the next build we put out- either late this week, or early next week:
  • Digits missing from Stats and other quantities in Tool-Tips and other screens
  • Raid Rewards for RELICS are too low some of the time- we fixed Raid Reward quality for the Gear/Armament Rewards, but didn't adjust relic quality.
  • Issue that caused party lists to not appear instantly upon forming a party.
  • New Sugarsweet Shop Wardrobe Packs not tradeable (they should be)
  • Rune List blank- Enchantments can't be seen
  • Sugarsweet Flair not available from Npc vendors.
  • Expose Weakness charges too quickly when using a damage-over-time attack
  • Chocolate Leaper missing from the Shop
  • Some players report Candy Box quest item cannot be found
These are just the main ones we're looking at. There are others reported that we haven't confirmed yet, but will look into.
Thanks, Damon

Just curious about one thing. The part where you stated "Expose Weakness Charges too quickly when using a damage-over-time attack". MM hunter only have one DoT and it is wounding shot. That feat does not add a charge to expose weakness when the DoT tick. The initial impact damage portion of wounding shot add a charge to expose weakness but no additional charge from the damage over time portion. Only reason I can think of is if a hunter use ziki relic that does DoT? My MM hunter do not have that relic so i dont recall if any relic affect any class abilities beside from being affect by player's cooldown rating, zephyr Enclaves, respective class ultimates( murder shot ultimate, mind spark ultimate, etc.) Also, are DoT being confuse by Area of Effect? Because I know MM AoE will ramp up Expose Weakness when MM Hunter AoE hit mobs with their AoE (Not damage over time feat). For example, if there is a 5 mob group, using concussion shot or splinter shot will trigger 5 charge of expose weakness per aoe b/c the aoe hit 5 mobs and plus 1 charge from auto shot that fires along with the feat. So in that time frame in that scenerio, MM hunter will ramp up like 11 to 12 charge of expose weakness. Also, after combat the charge dissapate so fast like 6 stack (3%) power every 2 sec or less, which just drop to 0 power from full stack in matter of seconds. Another note, even if you use dash with full power ability bonus from expose weakness, the tooltip will show the movement speed + expose weakness ability power bonus, but once the charge dissapear completely out of combat, character screen of movement speed show dash movement speed without expose weakness bonus ability power. So, you have Character screen showing dash's movement speed without expose weakness ability power, while at the same time have the buff with tooltip that show dash's movement speed with expose weakness ability power in effect. So the question to that is, which is correct? Is it the buff tooltip dash you use at highest expose weakness MM ability power bonus, or is it the info from character screen for movement speed? Sorry got off-top. Can MM hunter have some flavor to their feat? Can slow shot do more than just slow movement or more that just to trigger show em how? Can bandage cure debuff or remove damage over time (game doesnt have to be realistic, and it is self buff. MM hunter would lose a damage feat on weapon and take it for substain for that main reason if so (even if they in group setting, maybe). What bout trushot? Is nice bread and butter to press but why not make it lifesteal or heal hunter when do damage? Weaker but range version of fury warrior phoenix strike but should be better than earth shaman seismic shock. Of course in group setting where there is a healer, it might be useless but will help solo-wise for addition survability. These are just some of my opinions, I am new to playing mm hunter so I don't have that much experiences with MM hunter but just some ideas for dev to think about. Ty for reading and did got off topic.

I would edit previous post but I will just leave my mistake there. If Dash is up, it will rescale itself in character screen menu for movement speed according to expose weakness whether u regain or lose expose weakness charges as long as you have dash buff. Just the dash buff tooltip don't auto adjust or scale with gaining or losing expose weakness charge. In short, if have dash buff, is working and scaling correctly so just a tooltip bug and no need to reapply unless want to refresh dash duration.

Secondly i don't know bout DoT issue in post, I would just assume auto atk is physical is why charge ramping up with auto hit and am sure Dev already knew by now if that is a bug or not. In short, I do not know what I'm talking about or sound like when I post on forum but I apologize. Dev always know more about these stuff xD

Hi Villy,
Thanks for posting- we *don't* always know more about this stuff. We try, but we don't play the game as much as the players, so we appreciate the feedback.

Here's a report from another player who tested Expose Weakness:
"Stacks build on EVERY instance of damage. That includes the Wounding Shot DOT, Blasting procs (on every mob hit), AOE spells (on every mob hit), auto-attacks and reflect damage. With this I got to the max (100) in a matter of moments and maintained it throughout the 95 Elder Run today. "

I confirmed by inspecting the code that yes, before this change, it was charging every time physical damage was being inflicted. The fix aims to fix this problem.

Best, Damon

Honestly, I truly appreciate all that the devs, mods, and testers do to make this game everything that it is. Giving the nameplate to those that earned all platinum was a very generous gift. However, while I think the gesture was nice, it missed the mark by only being inclusive to very, very few, and with no notice given to make this goal achievable for others. If I had known this pretty nameplate would be given as a reward I would have pursued it just as diligently; an opinion I’m not alone in.

Hey,

I have to agree with vitt on this one. I’ve had some guild members expressed they love the purple one and wanted to do raiding to earn it but can’t since it’s a short notice.

Be nice to complete the lvl platinum tier and have that available as well as the green one.

I personally do not like the way parties are now listed on the side as a scroll feature. As a healer, if in a party of six or more people, this makes it so much more difficult to see who needs healing and to then select those people to then heal them. While trying to raid in high leveled raids and spam healing, there is no way to effectively heal everyone in your party while scrolling through the list each time just to see who in your party needs heals. This is compounded if in a very large party. I play on a tablet, so for mobile players using small screen devices this may be different for them. I can only share my experience. The toon named ‘Nobody’ suggested in world chat to make this customizable so we can choose for ourselves what options works best for us. Not sure what that entails for devs, but I like the way it sounds.

Honestly, I’m truly sorry to complain, but I feel so disappointed that I cannot earn the purple nameplate, let alone buy it. I don’t understand why those that earned the green name plates get the purple name plate free, when no such thing was given to those who earned the gold nameplate. The purple one seems truly special and is my favorite color. It is just so disappointing that these are not available for the rest of us. I think the gesture was nice, but missed the mark by only being inclusive to very, very few, and with no notice given to make this goal achievable for others.
I feel exactly the same, if I had known a purple nameplate was available only for completing in a limited time I would have focused on getting it on at least one character first rather than getting the Mallok's wind first for all my characters. I do hope there will be an opportunity to obtain it in the future.

I found the candy box without issue.
I found the candy box yesterday on two different toons, without any problems. :)

I keep my graphics settings fairly low. Has anyone determined whether changing your graphics settings makes it easier to find the brown box? (If so, I'll try to remember to suggest that, the next time someone's really struggling to find the box.)

Based on what I was hearing from other players in the event zone, I strongly suspect that after one player finds the candy box, it takes about 15 minutes to reset itself, just like the Dragon Skull daily quest in Bloodstone (which is a big enough pain in the neck!)

This would explain why players sometimes have to run several laps around the event zone, looking in the same location repeatedly until they finally are able to find it, even though they're looking in the correct location each time.

(Last night, a player who is very familiar with the quest (and who has all of the locations memorized) was escorting a second player around, showing them the possible locations. Player number 2 was unable to find the box until about 5-15 minutes after Player #3 announced in local chat that they had finally found their box. It should be noted that I wasn't participating directly in any of this. I was simply observing the conversations in the ez.)

If my suspicions are correct, would it be possible to shorten the spawn time of the box? This isn't an end-game, daily quest that few players are trying to complete at the same time. It's a crowded event zone, and at any given point, chances are that someone has just found their box, and someone else is looking for theirs.

This daily quest is often incredibly frustrating to players who aren't used to the annoying, high-level, Herbs and Dead Dragon dailies. (I now run the game consistently on MUCH lower graphics settings than my pc can handle, strictly because of those daily quests!)

In response to those who are now complaining about the name plate: and for the devs please.......

Alright. I’m sorry but enough is enough. Literally every change being made is punishing serious raiders who have spent HUNDREDS OF HOURS raiding to get to plat. I have 2 toons at plat and I’m so sick of people who don’t even like challenges completely ruining this for the few of us who do. There is literally no other challenge at 95 end game. Not a single one. And now even our heroic levels are impossible. You want my pink name plate now too? Literally that name plate took me 300 hours to get. Twice. U want to buy it now? You all have killed my raids. Nerfed the challenge. Stolen my celestial relic grind in heroics. And of course you want the pink nameplate now.**player edit** by you I mean complaining players. — bc devs have a job to do and are doing pretty well at it overall. But as always the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Devs, please stop listening to people who are level 12 rook and 5 woods giving raid suggestions. I can’t even handle it anymore. Raids were supposed to be a challenge. There is no longer any challenge. No flex. No point. We need raid testers who are serious raiders. People who can do hard things all by themselves and who enjoy trying.

Are we really “everyone is super” people in this game? Because when everyone is super... no one is.

I’m sorry my comment seemed to push a button. :( I was merely stating my opinion just as everyone else here should be able to do without being called complainers or being rude. Everyone’s input is valuable here. I enjoy raiding too and have invested hours and hours doing it, as well. I am also a level 95 player, so I understand what it is like at that level and that you want a challenge and that the raids is a great way to get that in this game. I have the gold nameplate but missed the mark for the green one, because the green name plate had not motivated me to want to earn it and I found it difficult to find likeminded players to run raids with me. There had been a loss of interest from what I had seen in raids at the time. However, had I known it would come with the light purple/ pink one then I would have pursued it just as diligently as those that it was given to. I hear the same story from other players. All I am asking is that players have equal opportunity and be told before hand, so we can decide for ourselves if it is something we want to earn or not.

Just a reminder that public forums are not a place to discount anyone's opinion. If there's a disagreement between players, it should be taken private :) This thread was started so that devs could give players information - we need to stick to that topic.

Regarding the Mallok's Resurgent purple package. Players that worked very hard to get Platinum prior to the recent patch deserve something special. If this is not it then something.
We spent a lot of hours, rezz, 100s full heals, full mana pots, player made mana and crown purchased ducats to accomplish this challenge. All of you that are begging for a gimme did not. Yes, I am disappointed I do not have it on my priest but that was their reward for doing raids that all of you complainers never even thought to do or did not want to expend the resources to do. Some players that did it probably did not do it for the Mallok's Resurgent reward, maybe because they saw it as a challenge and were willing to expend the resources to get it done. It was difficult and was intended to be difficult.
A lot of players now have the green name plate. Let the players that accomplished something others did not have something special that will reflect that they accomplished something Great.

Couldn't disagree more. If you're looking for the toughest challenge, run Heroic with the 10x increased health and damage.

For me, challenge comes in the form of group coordination and mechanics. The scaling is in a pretty good place right now. Perhaps they can bump up the health of bosses and mini-bosses but minions should be kept at their current level. With this update I'm seeing players who had given up on Raids return to the fold, I'm watching those who felt the Raids weren't worth it return to grind for loot and best of all I'm seeing lower and mid level players creating public Raids and actually feeling motivated and encouraged to continue rather than quit outright.

This is what Raiding in V&H should look like. Not an exclusive playground for the optimized level 95 player. With the scaling reduction and timer increase there is some excess time in Raids, especially group raids. The solution is not to increase the scaling and thus double or triple the length of each fight, but rather to add some more objectives sprinkled throughout each Raid to fill the time and promote group strategy and tactics.

For example, add some key collection, destructible objects, another mini-boss, traps, dynamic routes that can open and close, puzzles and objectives that require teams to split up and complete tasks in unison. Implement the survival objective in some of the other Raids such as Flooded Cloister, have us escort NPCs, locate items etc. The Raids are at their best when players need to plan around these types of encounters. So let's advocate for this type of mechanical difficulty over more health, damage and longer monotonous fights where each minion feels like an Elder boss.

As one who received the purple nameplate, I'll give my view. It was given not just because we got platinum before the patch, but to reward us for the difficulty compared to the current platinum raids. I used thousands of crafted mana, bought resurrects from crown shop, used countless full health and mana pots , and bought raid buffs with ducats. Now I can join a platinum raid and complete it using hardly any resources apart from the usual brunches, dinners etc. I'm not going into the discussion of whether the raids are good or bad now that they are easier but just giving my take on the reward.
