For me on PC I only see the node name if I mouse over it. It has always been that way for me, at least as long as I can remember.

Same thing with most things, such as quest dirt piles and such. on pc its always been like that, which is why i would play on mobile when doing quests involving searching for things on the ground. For me on PC I only see the node name if I mouse over it. Most things on pc you only see if you hover mouse over them or select them.
for some you can change options, for example the names of npc's and mobs

I do wish there was more similarity between the two platforms; they both can do things the other cannot. Yet it's programmed, so why not open it up in the options or something?

At some point, adding *everything* that is missing from the mobil client could increase the size of the game (see ‘LifeAfter’ by NetEase as an example) to the point where it’s ‘too fat’ for some devices.
That said, there are some things (vault log, friend notices, chat timestamps, a way to clear the scroll back buffer so that chat isn’t such a memory leak, etc.) that prolly wouldn’t take much size, but would make it more than just Villagers & Hero Lite.

Referring to the mobile client as "Lite" is misleading and unfair. Whilst there are a few things such as naming animals and the village vault log which are indeed missing, these are hardly major game features. The ONLY significant feature missing from mobile is the knowledge book - which I for one would happily swap for mobile gardening and ranching on PC instead.
On PC the chat is very limited. We can only see a certain number of lines before it scrolls off.a way to clear the scroll back buffer so that chat isn’t such a memory leak
There are a number of things that are on PC that aren't yet on mobile, and a number of things that are on mobile that we don't have on PC. But I would not classify either version a "lite".

Agree to disagree.Referring to the mobile client as "Lite" is misleading and unfair.
The list of things mobil has but pc doesn’t:
- ‘easier gardening’ and ‘easier ranching’. ( Not ‘the ability to ranch and garden’, just ‘ranching and gardening with fewer clicky-clicky’.)
- a memory leak in the chat client (as well as a poorly designed filter. The filter should limit the chat sent to the client, not spend resources to spam it to every client only to have it’s display filtered.)
List of things pc has that mobil doesn’t:
- Knowledgebook (and achievement log. mobil have no clue)
- Ability to custimize house design.
- The ability to see village house nameplates. (Mobil has no clue who their neighbors are; not even the mayor!)
- Ability to view the village vault log.
- Ability to name ranch animals.
- Notifications for kills.
- Party loot notices.
- Player death notices.
- The ability to select/hop (or even know what hop you’re in) without using (poorly documented) chat commands.
- The ability to /clearcache (and none of the ‘chat is a memory leak’ problem that mobil has)
- The ability to see bounty cooldowns.
- The ability to cancel a buff. (Raids are highly situational. Mobil has to wait for a buff to expire to replace it. Can overwrite some but not all ; and mobile can’t canx any).
- The ability to send a properly formatted email. Mobile has WOT with no carriage-return or line feed.
- The ability to cut and paste in text fields.
- The ability to /consider other players (see their hero level, dungeoneering level, and each of the crafts). Mobile has to navigate a menu to open a window just to get access to the pop up that shows them their own levels.
- PC has the ability to customize graphics settings
- The ability to use custom keymaps.
- The ability to use game controllers.
- The mobil and pc vault pages aren’t the same size (pc is larger).
- The mobil client shows village vault page numbers using the PC client page numbering (and size) which does not match the vault page numbers on the mobil client. One player can access the ‘whole’ vault page, while one player (with the same permissions) can’t.
- The ability to see the amount of xp needed to gain the next level.
- The ability to see friend login notices.
- The ability to send guild-wide email without typing out each player name, individually.
- PC has email name auto-complete; mobile doesn’t.
- and the most damnable one of all… on mobil, targeting another player and casting your primary heal feat locks up the screen and causes the chat window to pop up to initiate a /whisper. Not optional. Not remappable. Just to say it so everyone can hear… MOBIL PLAYERS CANNOT HEAL A PLAYER BY TARGETING THEM AND THEN CASTING THEIR DEFAULT (HEAL) FEAT.
- the ability to see which items can be made with an ingredient. mobil has to guess (or go to the crafting station and check every recipe to see which ones require that ingredient)
- The ability to hide the UI.
- First-person mode
- PC has the ability to play and chat. Mobil can only play or chat; we can’t do both.
- On mobil, not all group members will have their health bars displayed in the party window. We have to scroll back and forth to see who needs heals. Anyone below the fold best just stand near a healer (so we see your health bar on screen), because it doesn’t appear in the party window with the main tank (on mobil, raid members are listed in the party window by the order they entered the raid and not alphabetically. This is why you should let your main tank be raid leader so they don’t get buried in the scroll.)
I won’t get into skill queue depth disparities (pc can queue their rotation; mobil get 2 deep) and these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Number of pc-only features added to mobil in the last 3 years:
<crickets>
So yeah, Villagers and Heroes Lite.

If my list is incomplete, please do correct it. I think saying items “aren’t yet on mobil” may be a bit disingenuous because it would lead a reader to believe that ‘pc features are (if not actively, then at least occasionally) being added to mobil’ and the game’s patch history does not support such a claim. There are a number of things that are on PC that aren't yet on mobile, and a number of things that are on mobile that we don't have on PC. Never say never! This is a fact... We do not know when things will be added to the game, that lies in the hands of the Devs.
You claim, "Nothing added to mobile in the last 3 years"? The Devs regularly work on mobile improvements and I know additions have been made, (but maybe just not the ones you wanted).
As I said, both PC and mobile each have things the other doesn't, some because it isn't possible, some because it might not work right now. But as Damon said a long time ago, "It is a work in progress" and they have never stopped working on improvements.
Remember, this type of game on mobile was not done before Damon and MO entered the market. Now others are jumping in, but it is still a fairly new technology. Maybe have a little patience and give them credit for doing what they do without the huge deep pockets of the big gaming companies. They are doing amazing things!

If we don't want to bloat the Mobile client, that's fine. But then can we add some of the nice features from Mobile to PC?
I played for weeks on Mobile before being able to play on PC, and was immediately met with a bit of a disappoint that the camera doesn't zoom when talking to NPCs. Or no list of options when dealing with Ranching. The zoom especially helped immersion!

There has to be a middle ground where outstanding item’s that are consequential enough are eventually added to the mobil client. I would posit that not being able to heal or cancel a buff are consequential and should be added.
I didn’t say mobil was stagnant for three years, what I said was there was no evidence that any of the missing features being addressed within the last 3 years. We did get channel and notification filtering.
I am saying that PC has features that mobil doesn’t. These features offer a competitive advantage to PC players, not afforded to mobile players. It’s about time we at least had a conversation about it (on the forums; it’s come up on Discord at least 3 times in the last 6 months).
You object to my use of the word ’Lite’. I object to not being able to directly target a player and cast a heal (using my default heal feat on the mobil client) since every PC player can.
I try to keep my posts both (factually) accurate and (generally) balanced (between critique and praise). This ‘Lite’ client problem (and the mobil memory leak) is one where the differences (in client features) that are not fluff.
I made no such claim. I stated that there were no instances (at least none that I could remember or find in a forum search) where features that were present on pc were ported to the mobil client. You claim, "Nothing added to mobile in the last 3 years"? What MOG do (with what little they have) is truly remarkable. I don’t believe I’ve ever said otherwise. That said, it doesn’t mean I have to break out the pompoms for the good stuff and never point out where something is obviously wrong.Maybe have a little patience and give them credit for doing what they do without the huge deep pockets of the big gaming companies. I’m a mobile player through and through and have been for 18 months! Honestly, what sinjin wrote in this constructive forum post, with the differences between mobile and pc, was the most insightful, factual, useful and respectful post! I really appreciate the time in what he wrote out and in all honesty I didn’t know about 75% of the comparisons between pc and mobile. I don’t go on pc at all, feel like mobile users need a lot more then what is offered.
So a big thank you for and huge thumbs up sinjin!

I hope this bug is high on the priority list, but for now i reboot my device before playing, and every 4 hours or so if playing all day. I have submitted multiple bug reports, but not in a long time.
This one is the same. PC can be casting 1 and queue 1, pressing a third one will actually cancel the queue and is annoying.I won’t get into skill queue depth disparities (pc can queue their rotation; mobil get 2 deep) and these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
