I'm taking inventory of various items/cosmetics we have in the game that there isn't actually a way to obtain currently. Things like outfits, weapon appearances and mounts that maybe used to be in the shop, or be a quest reward, or bought through DLC, and so on, but right now there's not actually a way to get them. This doesn't include current event items while the event isn't running, but rather just things that you currently can't obtain any part of the year.
I could of course go through our massive database myself but I realized that you all probably have a much better sense of this than I do anyway! If anyone can think of items like this, list them here and maybe they'll resurface in the game for you all to get at some point in the future

The elder "Scamander" outfit has a very nice black turban currently unavailable to obtain in any way outside the gimme, the lord pyrrus outfit if I'm not mistaken there was a way to get it very early on, leopard boots were buyable through npc At the time when Vale do Carvalho was the tutorial zone, professional clothes, for example, the cook's, available at the npc in Ardent that sold clothes, currently not the way to obtain them (the ones I remembered for now)

Top of my head, the skins of the cheetah boots and gnomish jumping boots (the light blue ones).
Edit: oh and of course the blood crown and bone crown that were so generously gifted after the getting stuck issue. While the majority currently of active players will have them now, they are not available for newer players (or those who missed the window)

The Traven swimsuits. Twilight reveler's outfit- the eclipse, dusk, and midnight reveler's are available, but the twilight is not (unless it's just ridiculously rare and/or I'm incredibly unlucky?)
Weapon skins- cornucopia (multiple classes); & orbed, flanged, and brutal maces (multiple colors of each).
Blue crescent mace. As far as I know, this is now only available in the $1.99 new toon offer for priests; although it was definitely a drop at one time because I have it on both my US3 priests. I know it's technically still available but since that offer is limited time after character creation, and when I made my US2 priests a few years ago, I didn't realize it wasn't a drop that I could pick up eventually... I'm going to count it as "not able to obtain."
And of course, raid rewards from seasons 1 thru 4- steed of the eclipse, eclipse fireworks, Mallok's wind, Flame of Zell, the purple camel, all the flairs from those seasons.

Ok... Here's one I haven't seen in awhile (Is on my US1 toon)... the outfit is the 'original' elder gear - not the shadow pack... It's blue & gold and called "Voltan's Cassock". I'm not sure if it's achievable via normal gear procurement or not.
Mallok's Wind - was a raid reward. Don't know if these will cycle through again, but it's not available anywhere in game

Not sure if this counts, since it isn't an item, but it IS an appearance that you can no longer get: showing shields on hunters. It used to be that you could get vanity shields that had no effect on game play, but would show up as a skin. I have some fun shield looks I would love to sport on my hunter some day, just for the look.

I think the old winged messenger helms are also not available anymore. They are now called silly golden/silver/copper winged messenger helm. They are not the same as the ones in moors.
