Even though it's not officially supported, some players run v&h on a debian/ubuntu/mint Linux system (thanks to wine).
Most likely MTR is already pre-installed on your system, otherwise you'll find MTR in your repository and can install it from there with that graphical frontend. But if you for whatever reason want to install that tool using your terminal (my preferred way), than just open a terminal and type "sudo apt-get install mtr". The system will ask you for your password and the installation will be done in a few seconds.
After that program is installed, just type "mtr IPadress" (pls type one of the server IPs from the posting above instead of IPadress) and hit the enter key. Now you see all the output a developer needs. Just copy/paste or provide a screenshot. Thank you.
For users of fedora the package manager is named yum (yum install mtr), arch users have pacman (pacman -S mtr), and so on and so forth. But if you are using one of those systems, one could assume you know how to obtain trace routes or where to find help.
Hi Ivar, I need your help. I'm running the game on a 3 year old gaming laptop which still functions quite well, and I use a wired mouse. I have xfinity cable, connected via LAN and my speeds are excellent (actually faster than my provider promises), and I have a brand new Netgear modem - However, I am getting packet loss notifications from the game. I am having dc's, suddenly going from about 50 fps to 5 after switching toons or porting.
In Windows 10 you can find Command Prompt to do the above, no need to download anything: Start/Windows Systems/Command Prompt. TYPE: tracert[space]moconnect.net[enter] (and you can select and copy from Command Prompt now, too). Do the game servers reside in Canada? I just think it's odd that I live in Coos County, a couple counties over from Eugene, but my internet access to V&H gets routed through Canadian hubs... anyway, there is still a triple delay of timeouts in Quebec right before it finally lands on the target address:

can you all look into it? i'm facing a lot of packet losses on your server. if your server has no issues, would be possible to obtain a reverse trace on your end so that i can check with my ISP regarding it. you can reserve trace back to the 2nd hop.
