The nights are growing longer and darker, the weather is turning more bitter and violent each day, and the evil has awakened in the Haunted Moors. Grab your trusty sword, staff or whatever you prefer and get ready to hunt down the monsters whose only sin is not sharing their candy corns willingly and being dead and evil and stuff.
One time Quests
You can do these once to earn a nice boost to your Candy Corn balance.

Daily Quests
You can do these once every 16 hours. Dailies can be categorised into two. Crafting and killing dailies. You don't need to craft anything for yourself if you have a friend/auction house to get them from. There's a total of 10 Daily quests in the zone (however they are fairly quick to do).

Bounties
There's a total of 12 bounties in the Moors. Pumpkinhead can be accessed by talking to Methuselah (C5 on map).

Horde of Horrors
Horde of Horrors is a wave based event. You can access it by entering the portal at D3/4. The goal of the event is to defeat the Haunted Totem. However the Totem is shielded by default. You need to defeat waves of enemies and eventually an Incarnation to disable the shield. When the shield is down it's time to give it your all to damage the Totem. You'll have to disable the shield 5 times (at every 20% of its health). The event is finished when the Haunted Totem is destroyed.
Candy Corn
Now that we covered most of the content let's take a look how many Event currency can we earn.

So doing everything once a day would net you a total of 397 Candy Corns (worst case with 5 Candy Corn from Pumpkin) a day. If the event runs for 4 weeks, that's a total 11 616 Candy Corns (including 550 Candy Corn from the one-time quests).
Rewards
I'll only list the permanent rewards (outfits, mounts, pets). For calculations I'll use once a day everything and 2 other calculations (2 full runs and 4 full runs, meaning you defeat all bounties save for the Horde of Horrors). Also don't forget you have an extra 550 Candy Corn at start if you do the one-time quests, just for the ease of calculating I won't include that in my equations (this roughly means 1-2 days earlier item acquisition).

Wanted to add some information for the Haunted Moor 2021
Pumpkin head spawns every 2 hours, he does not give candy corn directly but does give "Pumpkin Head Loot" which contains candy corn ranging from 5-25, miniature pumpkins, and a very very low chance of a Bronze Mustang which can not be obtained elsewhere.
Occultist's Artifact's (Flair) was added for 4500 corn. It is green and has a skull emblem.
The Occultist (garb) was added for 5500 corn.
Spectral Dragon was added for 10150, Spectral Horse, Bat, Bunny, Cobra, Fawn, Rhino, Skeletal Horse, and Tiger was added for 6250
Bogeyworm is 775 corn (don't know if increased or original post had a small mistake)
Bat Wing (village booster 10min) 30 corn, Cleansing Sage (blessed husbandry 10min) 20 corn, Miniature Pumpkin (green thumb 10min) 20 corn, full heal/mana 9 corn, half heal/mana 5 corn
