How can I give more authority to other members of the guild?

How can I ask my guild members to invite other players to my guild?

Guild Leader and Guild Officers can invite people to join the guild. You can type /ginvite Name. The person needs to be online.

To clarify, only officers and the leader can invite new members, so if you want to allow a member to invite others, you need to appoint them as an officer using /gofficer add <name>

How can I kick inactive members out of the guild?

Only guildleaders can name new officers or give the leadership to another, and ONLY the leader or a officer can invite or kick guildmembers.
If you are neighter one of them you can't.

Also for villages: only the major can assighn ranks, lock/unlock village vaults, in this case you can try to run for major.
Go to the politics tab in the village menu and list yourself for the "running for major"option.

Note: you must have more ppl vote for you then the curent major and you can list yourself on the curent major's bad side this way

As mentioned, Guilds are not the same as Villages. They are two separate systems. Guild Leaders and Guild Officers can remove a person from their Guild, but only a Developer can remove a player from a Village.

Which they generally don't unless there is a very very very good reason with proof of the problem

You can't create a village. You need to find an open village and move in. If you are looking to make it a private Guild Village, one of your guild members needs to run for and win the Mayor. Once you have 40 Guild members living in the village, you can make it private.

Keep in mind the current village members may or may not be OK with that, so you should talk with them first. Existing villagers can't be kicked out, and mistreating them in any way is a violation of the TOS.

So, can I only lead my guild members in the existing public village to turn it into a private village?

Correct. The only way to make a private Guild Village is to convert a Public Village that your Guild has the Mayorship of.

yes, simply use the command /grename <newguildname>

a more easy way for a guildofficer to invite new members is to select the player and just give the /ginvite command.
downside to this is that you need to be face to face in the same zone

no, you don't have to be in the same zone, it works even if they are in different zones
