I've heard from players that they are being banned for an hour because they clicked too many times on an empty node. In this particular case the player is older and has bad vision.They thought they were simply dcing and didn't realize it was exhausted.
Suggestion. Before you kick someone, how about you splash a fullscreen message that says "You are clicking on an empty node. Please move to another node or you will be timed out for a few moments" and then have an ok button for them to click so they understand.

maybe delete that part, it's not exactly polite.
the first part though i totally get as my vision isn't as good as it was, and i was impressed that you had a suggestion how to help visually impaired.

A small team of devs whose little game has consistently been ROBBED BLIND FOR YEARS by exploiters, cheaters, and hackers at great expense to the company. This new automated anti-botting system, while it may not be perfect and will certainly take some getting used to, has already, in just the space of a few days, revealed some rather hideous exploits taking place in our game, which we were thankfully able to quickly put a stop to and ban the culprits for life. And that’s a good thing.
Like all new features, this automated anti-botting system could likely use some fine-tuning, and if there are any bugs, we will certainly fix them. In short, we will continue to try to improve upon this feature as a whole so that players are more comfortable with it -- however, it’s not going anywhere.

I totally see both sides of this issue and it'll take some getting used to. We need it in place but I did like OP's suggestion of a full screen message for those with small screens and/or bad vision.
Also agree with OP that the snide comments from those who disagree with a post are NOT needed. I've seen a few but it has been easy to ignore them when not directed to me; I'm not certain I'd find them as easy to ignore when made to me.

It's not a bug. It's working as designed. If you click too many times on an empty node (I think it's 5 times), you get banned for an hour.

I also like this idea. I could see leaving the first warning as it currently is. Since you don't get booted until after you click on an empty node 5 times, what would happen if subsequent clicks on the node exponentially increased the visibility of the warning?
Another idea might be to change the color of the background that the red text appears on. (I believe it's currently transparent.) Perhaps making the text stand out more by changing the background would be a different way of making the warning more visible? (Cause in Stone Gardens, say, where it's really kind of dark, the red text doesn't pop out at you the same way that it would in Thriving Isles, say.)

If the problems are created by mobile would it be possible to unbind some of the things for "old timers" playing on the dinosaur PC's? Of course that might cause the new generation of young whipper snappers a few reasons to pout but the old geezers would probably stick their heads back in the game to peek at the changes that have made the game more interesting to play. In the games I have played hackers/exploiters soon tire of games and move on. Changes that are made to thwart their efforts encourage them to stay around waiting for exciting new ways to reek havoc..
Tradable motes would really get some of my old virtual friends back in the game. Most of the "old timers" are talking "Back in the days of V&H we used to"... but some things are best left in the good old days.. like VIM and single clicking everything you needed to gather or craft.. and how about fighting all those mobs just to gather in the wild.. or combat xp for crafting. Holy Smoking hammer/chisel/spoon/spool!.. and the 3 tier nodes with recipes so complicated my poor little bird brain could never calculate what she needed. And Hats... I remember how complex those recipes were. We even had a toon named "Hats 4 Sale". I just about pulled my feathers out when crafting gear.
I remember when you needed 1 VIM to plant a seed and another VIM to water each plant. I got blisters on my hands pulling all that water! 50 VIM to plant a garden. Poor little babe toons. They didn't have more than a couple 100 VIIM. Water in the auction house went for a fortune! I can't remember. Did it use VIM to harvest the crop? Rest for 5 mins for even 1 VIM to regenerate. Old Timers needed that break. My MD shouted "Hallelujah" when supplies and ability to craft multiple times with one click was added. I think Ben Gay's stock prices dropped after those changes were made. It was the best way in the world to prevent carpel tunnel. Anyone remember spending untold hours killing Ux because he just wouldn't drop the right fragment?

Oh to be able to invite players back with assurance some of the features were being pulled out of the "game closet" they missed and moved on. It's pretty easy to realize when you are on the front end of the downhill that games provide the entertainment to keep us looking forward.

it is much appreciated. i hope my post didn't upset you, but tbh i'm tired of being upset every time threads turn into squabbles.as far as i see, most threads with complaints and or suggestions are always welcome,
but yes , lately there have been a few that didn't go down well with part of the community, though i did notice that on the ones i saw the OPs seemed to be looking for trouble.
i've never seen anything negative started on a polite and constructively laid out thread

Actually no. You actually are banned from the game for 1 hour. BANNED. Our Mysti was banned last night.
It made me sick to my stomach. I will stand by my original post. I could have written it better, but tbh my fingers were killing me from trying to help people in world and trying to get folks to come on the forums to voice their opinions instead lamenting on and on yesterday in world and trade. I was also sleep deprived and grumpy. And to not be totally gross, but I typed so much last night that one of my fingers started bleeding from touching the glass of my tablet over and over. (Bandage applied, but 2 fingers are now bruised. Not looking for sympathy here. I'm just trying my best to keep playing a game I love and am so passionate about. I sincerely apologize to the otters for the "who thought up this crap" comment. I get they need to stop botters/hackers/cheaters and I fully support them on that endeavor and I will report anyone I see doing it. This game cant survive if hackers/cheaters/exploiters ruin this game.
And to the person who sent me a message accusing me of exploiting because of my comments. You have no idea how wrong you are and you've been blocked. I want to say so my much more including screenshotting your comment and posting on reddit with your real toon name. I know who you are. However, I'm just not going to sink to that level. Have a very wonderful day.
