You can all disagree with me, but deep down I KNOW the developers feel horrible about the situation, and with right guidance they will do more to prevent extended outages for specific users if we speak up. I was 100% polite until some of you made this into a debate when it isn't one to begin with.
Honestly, was nine paragraphs in your earlier post really necessary?!? Not to mention the numerous posts that followed. The only people “owed” explanation are the company owners and board of directors/stockholders (should there be any), as this has a direct fiduciary impact affecting their non-virtual lives.

You decided to spend money in this game. You were not obliged to in any way. This game is available to play for free but you chose to in order to advance your own game play. You could have used the same money towards nearly any other form of entertainment.

Because that’s all this is for us - entertainment. It offers a break from the daily grind. This does not advance your non-virtual life in any way. In the time you have spent whinging about how you’ve been so egregiously inconvenienced, there is a myriad of other things in your non-virtual life to which you could have attended.

Putting forth your discontent publicly & repeatedly was unnecessary. Your demand for explanation as a single private message to the developers would no doubt have been seen as reasonable & possibly taken more seriously.

Repeated statements of having been wronged because you bought crowns & demands for compensation are just embarrassing & indicative your own sense of entitlement

Reading posts here is probably why a lot of people in game don’t come to forums. Seems like a lot of toxicity here, its like PVP since they cant pvp in game

May I just remind all posters to please keep their posts polite and respectful and to avoid personal comments about other posters.

This episode has been frustrating for everyone but maybe now that things seem to be returning to normal it is time to move on and come together as a community rather than argue about who is to blame for an honest mistake.

Asking for a plan moving forward to prevent major updates on Fridays that would render the game unplayable to a large portion of users is not too much to ask. But yes, preach away with your five paragraphs because you disagree. That makes things better.

its been said somewhere, but they admitted they made a mistake. They are human, just like us and we make mistakes, sometimes they’re really big mistakes.

can we close this thread now?

Yes we can close this case. Other players step back and let those of us vent our frustrations without fanboys telling us how to think and feel.

I love this game. I've joined this forum just to say thank you, Sarah, for your honesty... why are you not in politics; you would be unbeatable.

Stop saying “we”. You are alone in this bad take.
Not really. Just because others chose not to speak up doesn't mean more of us are not out there with valid thoughts on the matter.

If you don't like it, scroll away.

Case closed. Not much more that can be said.

Wrong again. Seriously, if more people shared your terrible point of view on this, they would have said so, not argued with you.

By the same token there may also be many who chose not to post but who consider accepting an acknowledged and honest mistake as just that and moving on a more appropriate response.

These are discussion forums - posters are entitled to express their opinion and even voice their frustrations (though that is not really what the forums are for). What they are NOT entitled to do is order others not to post simply because they do not share the same view, or to insult those who do disagree.

Great. We still want to know what plans will be set in place to avoid updates on Fridays and to avoid extended outages for specific users in the future. There is room for effort and accountability here.
Usually when an update is done, they wait until after they have received approvals from Apple and Google before they push it to live. So, whether it happens on Friday or not, it's not an issue . Devs have stated (repeatedly) that what happened on Friday was supposed to be a Hotfix - not an update.... but, they made a mistake and it became an update instead.

In short, they already have a system in place to avoid extended outages for mobile users (including ios). They have taken accountability. I don't know what else you're looking for. A mistake happened. The results were devastating. The devs have taken responsibility. The devs have offered a generous compensation package. The game is currently up and running for all.
