Just got on my fire wiz today, I’m not doing great with mana, but I might be missing something. The only mana based talent besides middle tree is the 5pt talent, right? Plus fighting with arcane, mindspark when it goes out, arcane, zephyr. The 0 pt fireball was important for my leveling wiz. I’m not running out on bounties, but struggling a bit in raids

The stun nerf makes higher level raids much more difficult, probably impossible to solo now. Heals weren't improved, resistances also, so this is a major nerf to defense for a class that already died quite a lot. Ravelle and friends already used to kill me quite often with the seven second stun, don't see how it will be possible with only 5 seconds. Definitely can't see killing them without dying at least once which used to be possible when blessed by rng. Too frustrating to bother with now. Which is unfortunate, because this it was fond memories of playing fire wizard that brought me back to the game in the first place.

When I did a raid I noticed my mana going down a lot more than before. I play very conservatively and use the mana talent, so it used to basically just stay full except in the rare very tough fights where I need to spam all skills to trigger those random heals. (Ravelle, fighting trash in Catacombs) Changing nothing about how I play or my build, it goes down very fast now but I never ran out.

fireball used to cost 0, now it costs 150. I get that they changed the 5 pt talent, but it feels a bit high to me. I don’t feel like the bonus mana is triggering…but maybe I’m just using it fast?

maybe we could get a buff to cauterize to help with soling?

it says my fireball cost 90 am i missing something or looking at it wrong?

mines 94 with 6% clarity, so I’m guessing base cost of 95?

If you have a decent level of Clarity it will show as a lower value.

Just checked on a fire wiz with zero clarity and it shows as 100 mana for her.

well i been running my fire wizard i think its pretty good other than having to stop after every 2 or 3 kills to wait on mana

I have no issues with the dps part of my fire wiz, but since it was a mana patch, was hoping I was missing mana sustain somewhere… but I guess not

same here the dps seems nice but have to stop every 2 or 3 kills to wait for mana lol

I think with the fire wizzy is still pretty much the same except the inner fire has been converted to add more aoe dmg, fireball is no longer 0 mana and we dont consume as much as we used to… but also dont recover mana as fast as other classes and overall no complains 😎🔥

The new inner fire is very good! but has a very long cooldown + a very short duration of the aoe damage buff effect. It would be nice to have inner fire cooldown within 1 minute to use it in every fight. And increased duration of the buff, which would depend on the number of targets hit, like ice wizzy

Im not using inner fire, it doesn’t look better than the other spells I’m currently using… unless I’m missing something on it?

Not really missing much if your fire wizzy is running well before the patch. It just gives a little 5% boost with aoe dmg per target hit.

Good for mob control although not sure how well it handles in group content as Ive only used it in solo content.
