A quick review of “hard” content

Oooo idea for a boss, it only takes damage equal to the damage resisted by the players so instead of players avoiding aoe they run towards it, sometimes to there doom that would be funny of course you’ll feel redundant if your a squishy dps but it would be equality for the defensive players for a change.

I like the idea of a village project that re-sets each raid season as an alternative to raids for the same seasons rewards (think I suggested this before) to give those that love village stuff a better way to grind for them.

Love the idea village projects, or anything more on the villager side, and having something repeating regularly as raids do would be incredible. I would question having the same rewards as raids. Instead, rewards based on villager content would make me happier. Now that housing is coming this has real potential.

The same thing could work as an alternative for any hard content such as an alternative way to get rare drops from EZ’s or even rift chests for a chance at those toys. Just an idea could use some fine tuning of course.

Was verbally attacked in game again yesterday. This isn’t the first time and won’t be the last this kinda thing has happened.
they threatened to boycott any group content I showed up to if I didn’t change my build in a way that makes healers feel less redundant then went on to add they hate the way i say thanks to everyone after group content with my classic “good job all thx” and want me to change it to “good random task completed all thx” because apparently in America reminding people about employment is somehow un-pc and rude And that is like I’m taking credit for other peoples success? Which I can’t even begin to explain what makes them feel like that.

naturally I did what I’m supposed to do (what I really wished they would have done instead of attack me) and I blocked them. No player had the right to censor another players builds or words (unless the words are truly bad) but I do feel for this persons pain at least in regard to healers feeling redundant. I just don’t think the solution is to change individual players and instead content difficulty needs to be re-examined or perhaps how content works for defensive role players.

I'm on US3, and players here frequently say "good (or great) job" or "nice work" after group content. Sadly, this idea of being offended by the most benign things (usually "on behalf" of people who aren't actually offended) is not unique to America. Also sadly, there are no changes, either to your build or the game, that will satisfy people like that. If you did start saying random task (the name of a villain in Austin Powers), they'd find a reason to be offended by that too. You did the right thing to block them.

Maybe improving your dungeoneering level for raids will help in group content?

Why you mad at better players builds then?

In a game where crit heals are 4x and full heals on 0 cd a full deff build tank is usless.

Especially in raids where you get up to 130% power in both specs. There is no reason to not be hybrid in raids.

Yes I receive a lot of this kinda of thing but it pales in comparison to the amount of nice people and praise I get so it helps me to ignore all the nastiness. The point is others are hurting and the main cause seams to be that a person/player like me exists hence why I’m a target. As horrid as it all is I feel for them and I do whish the game could somehow make it be ok to choose to be a defensive tank and not receive this kind of reaction.

If you are verbally attacked in the game, that is a matter for Customer Support not a subject to post on another person's thread on forums.
