  1. Archived Steam Players and Mobile!

Sadly, it's not possible at this point. All I can say is that we'll have to wait a bit longer (other Steam/cross-platform games allow it so why not V&H?) Guess it's going to take time to figure out on devs' part. Holding my fingers crossed.
  2. Archived Steam Players and Mobile!

I stand corrected: 2011 is PC, 2014 is Steam, 2016 is Mobile. Still, there is full PC to Mobile cross-play so basically allowing PC (SAC) players to cross-play on Steam looks like the next logical step.
  3. Archived Steam Players and Mobile!

This is a step in the right direction but still, only the first step. Initially, V&H was a mobile and PC game, so we can safely assume most existing characters were created on mobile and a stand-alone PC client. Steam was an afterthought, so to speak. To make most players happy you should have...
  4. Combining Zones

Great idea but should be taken carefully to not overwhelm some older mobile devices. Maybe add some portal thingie between the zones so you can look through and pass freely on PC but it auto-loads the next zone when on mobile? Idk. PC can handle bigger zones so that would be a welcome change
  5. Suggestions for 2021 'Quality of Life Build'

Oh, one more and an important one (I already posted it in #polls section of the official Discord, but I guess it's not a permanent solution to make game suggestions): Truly Stackable Items! Now you can have same item in different "flavors" that cannot be stacked in your inventory. For example...
  6. Suggestions for 2021 'Quality of Life Build'

MMO = community. Make guilds meaningful: Guildhalls in villages with guild-only amenities like library (to hold the schedule of events, rules, knowledge etc) Specific daily quests available only from a guildhall NPC, granting guild-wide perks and bonuses Add guild recruiting tools in-game...
  7. Quality of Life

    1) Guild search and recruitment window. 2) Inventory optimization: now you can have the same item in slightly different qualities so they won't store as a single pile (occupying a single inventory slot). For example, I have three or four different Voltan Resurrects (char bound, account bound...
  8. Optional PVP? Maybe an Arena style? Group pvp?

Is it me or the no-pvp crowd indeed seems more aggressive in their arguments? :p Open-world PVP game is insanely hard to make and balance, everyone will become upset at one point... at multiple points actually. But PVP as a separate arena or game mode that does not influence the rest of the...
  9. Optional PVP? Maybe an Arena style? Group pvp?

Yes, this idea of a champion "template" is great and it will keep the min-max crowd happy and occupied trying out different builds and whatnot.
  10. Optional PVP? Maybe an Arena style? Group pvp?

Make a PVP Arena. When you enter, you claim one of the predefined champions - your gear, class and abilities match those of the champion you select for the duration of the match. Optional: maybe allow players to select only champions of the matching class (i.e. fighters may select fighter...
  11. Linux users

This is a very interesting option, the only problem you might run into is Steam game clients are also being auto-updated via Steam, so someday it might just stop working. Hopefully you'll be able to replace the files once again.
  12. Steam Conversion

"There are two reasons you currently cannot play on mobile with a Steam account." I do not ask for playing on mobile with a Steam account. Oh yeah, another big title that supports true cross-platform play is Warspear Online, you can do exactly what Steam recommends to link your 3rd party...
  13. Steam Conversion

No, this Steam documentation excerpt addresses linking 3rd party accounts (not games) to Steam ID. Account is the way for application to know who is trying to gain access. If you link your custom (3rd party) account to Steam ID you always can identify any person no matter which platform they use...
  14. Steam Conversion

Separately addressing this question: Steam is very popular platform now. In fact, any Steam-published game gains much more attention than advertising independently (unless you command high budget). Players begin to try out this game, attracted with positive reviews etc. Some of them quickly...
  15. Steam Conversion

@Majenta Thanks for your constructive answer. The only thing I would like to point at is that Devs were answering the initial question of this thread as contractually impossible to solve, that is, to authenticate with Steam account on standalone client, Dev has answered it in #32 clearly. I do...
  16. Steam Conversion

Honestly, posting here my findings about Steam policies is an attempt to make life easier for original SAC users to cross to Steam and vice versa. I stay on topic while posting informed messages. You wishing me godspeed is trying to be toxic or what? I love how the least informed are the most...
  17. Steam Conversion

Before mentioning contracts you'd better read the one you are referring to. Check your facts first. Valve/Steam directly says app developers could link 3rd party accounts to Steam ID. https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/auth
  18. Steam Conversion

The reason I was stating in one of my initial posts above - Steam/Proton does much better job at running this game on Linux than Wine. Steam is going to benefit if more players can just jump in and continue what they already had in Mobile version. You say "No", but I'd actually like developers...
  19. Steam Conversion

    1) No, it works both ways 2) No, I am a pre-existing Mobile player wanting to bring my business to Steam but I have to use some circumvent ways via standalone client (I do not need Steam in this case at all).
  20. Steam Conversion

I just can repeat: you are confusing authentication (Steam) with authorization (game server). I like how you emphasize the word "contractual" even though I stated multiple times by now authorization has NOTHING to do with Steam, authentication does. Install Hades Star on Android, start playing...
